Good sound but doesn't work as advertised
Pros:1. Sound quality is surprisingly good. I am playing FLACs on Nexus 52. Speaks to you when connected & when battery is lowCons:1. 'Turns on and off automatically when inserted and ejected from the tape deck. Automatic power off function when not in use.' Couldn't get any of this to work in 10 year old VW Passat. Have to press on/off button always2. When the 'tape' is inserted & playing can be quite noisy from turning mechanism. Need to turn up volume to mask this so not a show stopper

Cheap but annoying
Yes it's cheap, but hearing all the cars noises at any level is annoying. Also, do we need narrative when connecting? A simple 'audible beep' would do

Has potential to be great but falls short
When I first thought of this idea & typed it in the search box, I wasn't even sure it existed. After finding this for £20 I was convinced it was exactly what I needed, which it was and wasn't...The good points:1) Simple & straight forward just pair to your device & pop it in.2) Pairing was quick & painless, this model doesn't have a special pairing button, it just goes in to auto pairing mode when you switch it on.The not so good points:1) The sound is very low, usually my radio is set around 15-20 ish for casual listening (or when the kids choose the music) or if I'm in the car alone & blasting the Rock music I bump it up to 38-40.Using this however, the audio was bearly audible. Even turning up to max volume which is 80 on my radio gives me a sound similar to the 15-20 ish I mentioned earlier.2) The unit doesn't power off as mentioned. Even after powering off the car or ejecting the tape the unit remains on.3) The tape loses connection & has to be re-paired. This may be due to having to eject the tape & switch it off, but when I returned to the car after a few hours I had to repair the tape again.3) ejecting / auto reverse. I think this is more to do with how car tape players work, but on the first try my car kept ejecting the tape.Eventually I got it to stay in by inserting the wrong side up. I've had this issue before with wired adaptors, but it's something to be aware of.Your results may vary, volume issues may be different depending on how loud your phone outputs audio over Bluetooth, but for me I got a better sound just using the phones own speakers.I did notice that the metal head had a piece of protective film over it and peeled it off hoping it would improve the sound, this was not an easy task as my fingers wouldn't fit in the little hole & kept pushing the head down.Sadly it made no difference at all.The pairing issue may not effect you at all, there are many versions of Bluetooth. However this claims to be Bluetooth 4.0 and my 1 week old phone also has 4.0 and no issues with pairing & remembering other devices. Conclusion: I probably could have put up with the ejecting / reversing tape and even having to repair it to my phone although both of these are a bit annoying, the sound is just too low for me to use.Even at full volume it's just not loud enough. I'm also worried at operating my stereo maxed out especially when there's a good chance the tape will eject & my radio will come on full blast potentially damaging my speakers and my hearing. So the tape will be going back, it's a great idea, but even if you can put up with the niggles, it's just not that good at getting a decent sound in the car.

New Life into my old classic
Use it for my Old School Radio Cassette....proper bass and twiddly knobs n buttons hehe. It can play tapes fine but with this Bluetooth adaptor I can stream from all my devices and never have to turn the tape over Lol...

Good for music / podcasts - not for calls
This is a great idea for converting your car stereo to work with your phone using Bluetooth for music / podcast playback (with some caveats):>>Pros<<1. Pairing (once set up) is fairly quick, and the device speaks to say it is paired.2. Audio quality is quite good.3. The unit stays charged for a good length of time on a single charge.>>Cons<<1. It is advertised as "auto power on/off" - this has not worked for me - I always have to power on manually and then re-insert to the tape player in the car. Similarly, when finished, the unit stays powered up when the tape deck stops (e.g. at the end of a journey). I usually just leave it where it is and it powers off eventually (as it is no longer connected to my phone once I leave the vehicle).2. There does not appear to be a microphone on or in the unit. It has so far proved unsuitable for taking calls on my HTC M8 phone. I have to ring back the caller and use the phone's speakerphone instead - so back to quite poor call quality. This is the only thing that would make me switch back to the old-fashioned wired cassette adapter!

WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT BUY!!!
I was so hope full about this product when after leaving a bad review on it they sent us another one... this tape is doing the same thing! DO NOT but it is an absolute waste of money. They said if I took down my last post they would send us one that would work... well they sent us another one but it's just as bad and even more disappointing... I do not feel bad now that I was unable to delete the old post because no one should have to waste money on a product that does not do what the description says. I wasted a good 30 minutes trying to figure out if I was hooking it up wrong or something was wrong with my player.... nothing is wrong with my player it's just Blutape
