It's best before is 2 years after manufacture, there's an expiry on the bottom of the product when you receive it.

Q: Is this the same as the small tube oitment?

This is a cream moisturiser not an ointment. I find it is very useful if used on a daily basis if your skin is dry and sensitive to the ingredients used in a lot of other emoilent creams.
