Quality, Professional equipment
I use DeWalt and Ryobi battery powered power tools. I am retired , was only using them on occasion.I had Ryobi for many years, before I started up a company I only used the Ryobi driver and drill. After the company fired up, I was using many different Ryobi tools, putting many hours on them, at this point even my oldest ones are still working well.I was checking out the DeWalt driver at store and I liked it's feel and size, so I had to find out why DeWalt has been around for a long time.At this point I am very happy with it's design, the light on the front has served me well on many occasions. I wasn't sure about the speeds 1 thru 3, but after using them I found them very useful. It has a lot of power, which I definitely love.I use it exclusively at this point and have since purchased a reciprocating saw, and a cut off tool. The brand new cut off tool is another story. Right out of the box it was defective, spindle had probably half inch of play in and out. And, spindle lock did not work at all. I've never purchased a Ryobi tool that was defective out of the box, plus they all still operate to this day.I will let you know if there is a problem with this driver

Great lightweight and compact impact driver
I purchased this Dewalt Impact Driver (bare tool only) as I already own several Dewalt cordless tools and batteries. My other batteries and charger's work well with this tool and they are compatible and interchangeable throughout my collection of other cordless Dewalt tools. The build quality is good, the charge speed is fast enough for completing most home projects. The noise level, while a bit on the loud side is manageable with an inexpensive pair of ear muffs. The tools ergonomics are good and this driver has more than enough power for most do-It-yourself applications around a home and home shop.

Excellent Performance for DIY Projects
The DEWALT 20V MAX XR Impact Driver (DCF887B) has exceeded my expectations in every way during my DIY testing. What stands out most is its power and efficiency. The brushless motor delivers consistent torque across three speed settings, allowing me to tackle a variety of tasks from driving screws into tough materials to delicate assembly work without a hitch. One thing to note is its compact size, which makes it incredibly maneuverable in tight spaces. However, the trade-off is a slightly heavier weight compared to smaller models, which can be noticeable during prolonged use.I've used this impact driver extensively for building shelves, assembling furniture, and even light automotive work. The LED lights around the chuck are a thoughtful addition, illuminating the work area well, especially in dimly lit corners. In summary, if you're searching for a powerful, reliable impact driver for your DIY projects, the DEWALT DCF887B is a top contender. Its robust performance and ergonomic design make it a valuable addition to any toolkit, ensuring efficiency and precision with every use.

Portable, light, sturdy, powerful
Portable, light, sturdy, powerful. DeWalt delivers. I needed a second driver smaller than the one I already had, and this one did not disappoint.

This thing is a beast
well first off i bought this to replace my 12v black and decker matrix because the battery life on those is absolutly pathetic. This thing is a beast, its compact, light weight, and the power it has is very very impressive. The only reason i rated it 4 stars is because i feel like 2nd gear could be more evenly split between 1st and 3rd. But in 3rd gear this thing broke my 3/8 square adaptor from ace. I upgraded to the dewalt 3/8 square adaptor and it seems to hold up alot better.Edit: well ive had this gun for a while now, still performing flawlessly. Im not sure why but it seems to have a problem with the 3/8 square adaptor. Ive broke 4 of them so far, ive tried ace brand x2, dewalt, and some amazon 99 cent special adaptor. I have no clue why but i have yet to break a 1/2 or 1/4 adaptor with it. None the less i wouldnt let that stop you from buying it because its a very handy tool. It goes to work with me every day, gets used ever day, and i have yet to find anything i dont love about it. It does have the power to break lug nuts loose, ive torqued them to 140ft lb and thats about its limit which is right on spec with the discription. I have since found that the performax brand 3/8 adaptors are pretty good. They still break but they are only 99cents so i usually grab about 5 at a time and keep them in my toolbox at work and i have yet to break one in the 2 weeks ive been using it.Update: It died this past week, not sure what the problem is but it just doesn't work. Its 4+ years old and WELL used though so ill order another.
