Excellent product - as described
Very impressed. Using to block sun in office - easy to put up, sticking pads work well and looks smart. Recommended

Careful when measuring and cutting as it stretches
It worked very well as a temporary blackout. It was a little tricky to cut to size as the fabric is slippery and it stretches slightly so be careful not to pull when measuring and cutting.

Excellent Product
I used this to cover the window that separates my place from my bothersome neighbour. It worked wonderfully. Easy to apply, just follow the instructions. I didn't apply it as neatly as I wanted it be, but it does the job and looks okay. I'm really happy with it. It was reasonably priced and delivered quickly.

They do work but.....
The windows in both, our bedroom and our son's bedroom, gets that early (very early depending on the time of year) morning, bright sun shining right in. Then there is the business that is positioned directly across from the windows. Monday through Friday that business keeps their parking lot lights on ALL NIGHT LONG and they shine directly into the windows. I cannot sleep with a light on, not even a night light. I do have blackout curtains up and they work great but I wanted something different. Something that I could take down during the day to let the light in but put back up at night so that we could sleep. So as soon as I saw these blackout shades, I ordered them right away thinking this could be exactly what we needed. The directions say that these take just a few minutes to put up...I have to wonder if they ever actually measured and cut one of these themselves! I fully read the instructions before pulling the supplies out of the package and was so hopeful when I read that the fabric was going to have a grid I could use for cutting. I am not very good at cutting a straight line. Seriously, I'm terrible at it without a grid. Plus they include a painting "pen" for marking where you need to cut. Great...or so I thought it was great. Until I pulled everything out. The fabric did NOT have a grid and when I went to mark the fabric with the pen, after just a few seconds, the mark fades away. This was disappointing and now I had to figure out how I was going to get this HUGE piece of material cut down to the size of my windows without it looking ridiculously crooked. I finally got so frustrated, I just began cutting away and figured that if it didn't work then it didn't work and that was that. It did end up crooked but I don't think it is too noticeable (or at least that is what I tell myself). You can tell by the photos I posted that it does seem to block the light pretty good. With some light coming through at the edges of the fabric. I used the provided suction cups to put these up but if I had used the provided velcro adhesives instead then I probably could have covered the entire window pane and it would have blocked all light. I'm not sure how strongly the suction cups will hold but I can always add more and the fabric is very lightweight so it will probably be fine.I would say these are 3 and 1/2 stars due to the inconsistencies with the grid lines and painting pen being useless...but I'm rounding up to 4 because they are inexpensive and they do seem like they are going to block out the light fairly well. Also the fact that they can be easily put up and taken down is a plus!
