This is by far the best SDS iv ever had the fortune to use. This sds is stupidly light while still packing an epic punch. When drilling holes in awkward places like up ladders or buried in tight places this drill is what you need!I work as an electrician so i don't need a powerful sds as such for day to day works. I have a mains SDS from bosch for cable runs and bigger jobs. But its big, a bit bulky, and a nightmare to lug around as it constantly needs 230v.This is a great 18v powerhouse of a drill! EC so no worries about carbon brushes. A neat worklight that as stated above helps in tight areas or poorly lit sites. Comes with an L case aswell so im happy for the price i got it for (£189). Yeah its a bit steep for just a bare unit, But iv had a drill like this before so i know its worth the price! On other sites the drill without the case is still easily £150-£160 so the price difference is not much for the convenient L case.

Got this drill as laying a false floor drilling into concrete was so easy well worth paying that bit extra for quality

Being a keen DIY'er and having just completed a house renovation there are many, many things needing doing to occupy my time.Having tried to avoid an SDS drill for years I finally relented and bought this to go with the rest of my (excellent) Bosch cordless equipment.What an epiphany! This completely changes drilling into hard concrete blocks - makes an absolute breeze out of what would otherwise take some time and effort to drill through. Curtains poles get put up in an instant (well, not quite but you know what I mean)The version I bought came with an storage box but no battery or charger - helpful for me as I already have both - so this is a relatively inexpensive way of buying the drill - however, if you don't have them already you will need to buy as well so factor this into the cost.

It does the job although dont use as a rotary drill as its not subtile for smaller/lighter work.

For anyone who is wondering whether to get this or the smaller compact hammer drill, get this one. This is just about sturdy and powerful enough for construction work as an electrician/plumber. It is a bit smaller than an 24v drill, its really light, looks cool, and performs well. It states a max drill bit size of 18mm but lets face it this is just a fixings drill, 6mm holes and 10mm holes for wall plugs and anchors is what I mainly use this for, and for that it works a treat.

Despite its small size this drill has been able to deal with everything I have thrown at it thus far, including drilling a 12mm hole through a cavity wall. It is very light and compact, making it comfortable to use for prolonged periods, in tight spaces and up ladders. This purchase has inspired me to purchase another Bosch Professional cordless screw driver / drill.The build quality is high and I would certainly recommend this.

Very surprised with this drill, its compact and light. Can deal drilling 10mm holes in solid concrete no problem. The added LED light is also a nice addition. Highly recommend if you do a lot of drilling, you'll definitely be grateful for it being so light compared to other SDS drills.

The only SDS in the van, as due to this drill's torque I don't feel the need to carry a corded one.When buying a brand new tool set(18v) I was agonising as to which brand to go with. I decided it had to be Bosch just due to this drill alone. Since this wonderful tool is balanced and compact enough carry up ladders(masonry, 5.5 and 6mm) it now takes me no longer than 4-5 seconds to drill holes even in the toughest of brick work or concrete.This has had a dramatic impact on the amount of time I spend drilling masonry (specially up ladders) holes and has enough torque to drill 18mm one meter holes without any issues, thus I don't need to carry a corded SDS.Went all Bosch just to have this drill and happy I did.
