I bought this tool having watched some demonstration videos. Initially, I had some difficulty in using it, but with a bit of practice I have found this to be an excellent tool for hollowing bowls and finishing the outside too. It comes with a verasatile scraper bit and two other bits for cutting into and hollowing out the inside of small bowls or boxes. The bits can be moved to provide the best angle for cutting and scraping and are easily sharpened, although they keep their edge very well. A great tool to add to one's collection of woodturning chisels and relatively easy to use once you have used it a couple of times. Now that I have got it and use it, I wouldn't be without it.

best tool ever for hollowing.

Product arrived OK and seems a good tool, but when changing between bits it was clear the thread was not consistent for longer fixing screw. To make the fixing screw use the lower part of the thread took a lot of effort and after only 2 changes the lower part of the thread has given way.On seeking support from the supplier I was referred to the manufacturer and subsequently ignored. Not happy

as described, and I do believe Sorby is the best quality for the price range

Overall pretty satisfied with this tool. Like any new turning tool it takes a little practice to see what works and what doesn't.

Excellent tool for small hollow forms and boxed. I would not use it for over 5-6 inches. A steady rest also makes the turning easier.

The item is great and easy to use.
