Love!
I've purchased quite a few times. My scalp is sooooooo sensitive to whatever is in every shampoo I've tried. This shampoo has been the best. I get itchy scabs on my scalp, usually. But this shampoo has changed my hair game. Usually have dandruff and super itchy scalp. Not anymore. Wonderful purchase and my hair stylist approved!

Works Decently, but Not the Strongest Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
The Neutrogena Scalp Therapy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Extra Strength is a solid, widely available option for anyone looking to manage mild to moderate dandruff. I’ve been using it for a while, and I do notice a reduction in flakes and less itching on my scalp. It lathers nicely, rinses easily, and leaves my hair feeling clean and refreshed without being overly harsh. That said, I found it isn’t quite as effective as some other anti-dandruff shampoos I’ve used in the past. For stubborn or severe dandruff, it may not fully control the issue on its own, so you might need to supplement with another treatment. The fragrance is pleasant and not overpowering, which is a nice bonus for everyday use, and the shampoo feels gentle enough to use regularly without drying out hair.Overall, this is a decent choice for those seeking a reliable, easy-to-find anti-dandruff shampoo that works for maintenance and mild cases. It’s convenient, gentle, and helps keep flakes under control, but if you need something more intensive, you might want to explore stronger formulas.

If you have redness, itchy, flakey, or oily scalp READ THIS!
Ok so all my life I’ve had a VERY oily scalp (oily as in by day 2 my hair looks like it would be on day 5 of no wash, especially because I work out a lot). I would also develop these irritated pores on the lower back part of my head and if I picked them I would literally rip off some dandruff. Thankfully it was never severe but definitely more common than I would like. I recently cut my hair very short to the point where I can see my scalp (I’ve always had my hair very long) and I could see the redness much more clearer compared to before which lead me to taking better care of my scalp. After doing research, everything lead to switching to a shampoo with salicylic acid hence my purchase. Already I can say I have ZERO itching, my redness has improved a lot (and I’m only one use in), my hair is softer, there is no smell which in my opinion is good because any fragrances can cause further irritation but it also does not smell weird or bad, and so far no oiliness!I was skeptic at first reading some of the reviews so I’d like to address some concerns from potential buyers;Remember that everyone is different and what might work for some doesn’t work for others and that’s ok. Just gotta find what works best for you and your scalp. Don’t be afraid to reach out to a dermatologist because it might also be some other underlying issues. There were some reviews stating it doesn’t lather which I will disagree on. It ABSOLUTELY lathers. The problem is we have very oily scalps so I recommend shampooing twice every time you wash your hair. Once to get the first layer of oil out, rinse out, then use a tiny bit more and I promise you it WILL lather. Take your time scrubbing it in all the way to your scalp. In my opinion, it lathers wayyy more than any traditional shampoo I’ve ever used. Because it’s meant for oily scalps it may dry out your ends so regardless of short or long hair, try your best to use conditioner on your ends ONLY, not your scalp. And after your shower, apply some sort of hydrating oil/serum into ur ends as well (me personally, I use coconut milk serum/oil).All I can say is I highly recommend anyone with similar issues as me to give this one a try and see if it works. For the price, it’s worth it there’s much more expensive shampoos out there for less than the amount this comes in. I’m going to try and stick to washing my hair 2-3 times MAX a week using this shampoo!

Helps my super sensitive scalp
I have a highly sensitive scalp and bad dandruff issues. I spent decades looking for the right shampoo to use. I've tried everything from bigger name brands designed only for dandruff to more holistic natural shampoos. Nothing works like this stuff has. I still get itchy from time to time but I think that has more to do with environmental allergies getting onto my scalp than this stuff. It is a bit drying on my hair. Having to use thisy hair is either very frizzy and dry or extremely oily if I didn't shampoo every other day. But it keeps the dandruff down and the severe itching gone so I don't care if my hair isn't social media worthy. I use conditioner from another brand that's for dandruff too and that sometimes helps how drying this stuff is. But some days my hair gets out of control.

not even close to Neutrogena Tgel
it's ok, helps after a few uses, nowhere near as effective a Neutrogena Tgel.

Quality Product for itchy scalp
I have dandruff and itchy scalp having tried too many shampoos to count. I tried this after using another neutrogena product, and after a couple of months my hair is better than it’s been in a long time. It has kind of a Neutral smell and makes abundant lather. My hair feels clean with no itch after use.

Super Helpful
Dandruff was new to me a few years ago, and started in the dry winter months. I bought several other brands and varieties that didn't control it. First use of this and there was a drastic reduction in flakes, and with daily use, they're nearly gone. There is no scent to this, which is fantastic compared to some other similar products. I sometimes mix it with my regular shampoo or use conditioner afterwards. It's thick, and takes a bit to lather, so it's more work to use than regular shampoos. But it works! Not 100%, but that's okay, I'll take close to it. I seem to only need it during the dry, cold winter but no other OTC shampoo helps as well as this. It rinses out easily, but I do feel it dries out the ends of my hair, so I load up on conditioner. Sometimes i apply conditioner to the bottom half of my hair first, then use this to help seal in moisture.
