Great value! Better light!
The Odepro KL-62 Plus is an absolute game-changer!Being three lights in one, you get a red (or green), white, and IR-850 light that works great with most night-vision scopes. Changing the color doesn’t involve changing any pills (or LED lights). Instead you simply rotate a collar on the light to change.I personally use an ATN X-sight 4k Pro with the ATN ABL 1000 rangefinder. The KL-62 Plus comes with a ton of accessories. Let’s begin with the actual case. Not many lights come with a case to begin, but this one has foam cut for each piece. I have never had a light packed this well, even ones that are more expensive. Now let’s look at the pieces. Of course it comes with the light itself, and a remote pressure switch. I’ll get into that in a minute. It comes with TWO 3,000 mAh 18650 rechargeable batteries, both in a case of their own. Along with the batteries comes a DOUBLE charger and cable. Also included are two types of mounts, one clamp-style mount that clamps onto both the light and body of a scop, and the other is a picatinny mount that is connected to another mount that can be clamped on the barrel. I’ll also talk more about the mounts later as well. Finally, Odepro includes the normal small things… A carry wrist strap, manual, small allen wrench, manual, warranty card, and they were nice enough to include two spare O-rings to keep it waterproof if the others fail. The warranty: The registration card states the KL-62 Plus comes with a 30-day free replacement warranty, 24-month free repair warranty, and a “limited lifetime warranty”, which according to their website, is where they charge for parts.WHY IS THIS A GAME-CHANGER??? Simple. You get three lights in one, and it is extremely easy to change the color. The distance of the light is RIDICULOUS! All colors illuminate great distances, especially when “focused”. But what I like the most is the ability to dim/brighten the beam with two methods: One tail cover has a knob that is a stepless dimmer… simply rotate the knob. You can also turn it on/off by pressing the knob.Odepro design engineers thought of everything! The tail cover also has a small (and dim) LED to let you know that the power is on. I do a lot of night-hunting because we have a huge hog-problem where I live, and with other lights, the only way to know the IR-850 is on is by looking down the light for the faint glow or to look through the scope. With the LED on the tail cover, it’s easy!Battery power: The two supplied rechargeable batteries have plenty of power. The case says that you should get around two hours of run-time, depending on the color you have the light on. I don’t think this is far off, but honestly, it’s hard for me to tell because I don’t have it on constantly, and when I do, I have it dimmed. I’ve done several hours of night hunting and the batteries lasted longer than I did.Zooming: The main bell can be rotated to zoom the light in and out. It is really smoothe to rotate, and focuses and floods really well. My scope has a connected laser rangefinder, and I was illuminating trees in excess of 200 yds. You can see reflective eyes even further. The build quality is solid. The body is all metal, and according to the case, it’s aircraft aluminum. This also applies to the mounts. Although the clamp-mount is not aluminum, it is still extremely solid. What would I change? This is a hard one because it’s just so well-designed. In fact, I have only one small (very small) complaint about the light itself. Like I mentioned earlier, it is really easy to change the color of the light - maybe a little too easy. The collar used to change color moves a little too easy. Mine had a little “play” in it. When you have the light illuminating something at a long distance and it is “focused”, any slight movement of that collar changes the location of the focused light. It is not much at all (which is why I said it was a very small issue), and can easily be overcome by “flooding out” just a little.Perhaps a slightly (and only slightly) bigger gripe is that it does not come with an adjustable mount. You can purchase one separately from Odepro for about $30. The light itself sells for about $140 and is a great deal, and many of us would not want to spend the extra $30, but might prefer the same mount that comes with the KL-52IR Pro. I”m not sure what the price difference would be, but if I was CEO of Odepro, I’d consider it as an option for the customer to pay the difference between the two mounts.Conclusion. I just don’t think you can go wrong with the KL-62 Plus. Three colors, changing them easily. Excellent distance and long-lasting batteries. Extremely well-designed with all of the nice features a night-hunter would want. Two ways to dim/brighten. And ROCK SOLID!

Doesn’t disappoint
Updated November 18, 2024I just got back from a hunting trip and this light does not disappoint! I could spot those Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons way out there. The light lit up great, and then it was up to me to shoot straight. I love this light Even more after hunting with it!The one thing I’m not super impressed with is the mount to the scope. I don’t want anything on my scope that might knock it or I might bump it on something because it sticks out. That’s OK though I don’t have to use it. There’s other ways of Mounting it to my rifle. Love this light! Highly recommend!First things first let me start off by saying this is a fantastic company!I have two other of their lights and their customer service is outstanding! I have dealt with them on 2 separate occasions quality of the customer service is excellent. Very quick and secure shipping.Look at the picture of the case they sent it to me in. I like how they pay attention to the little details like putting a hinge instead of a flap of plastic that will break after you open and close it a few times. It shows that the company pays attention to the little things. The history of this company is excellent, and this light does not let it down. The rear twist to make the light brighter and dimmer is not so easy to accidentally get moved but not too stiff that anybody could twist it with ease to adjust the brightness. It’s is a very solid design. When you push the button in the rear where you dim it and brighten, it is where you turn it on. I was very impressed with the stiffness of the button. Once again, not too stiff, but at the same time, not too easy.I will mount it so that the switch at the front that adjusts the red white and green color is easy to get to, and like the brightness, not too easy, but not too stiff for the daintiest of hands.I like how on the very front you twist it so that you have a broad beam to cover lots of area or you can twist it so that it gets smaller so you can spot something specific.I keep mine on a broad beam and it is plenty bright enough to get out there a good long ways to light up the whole hillside. The remote switch works great! You push the center button once and it turns it on. The front button turns it brighter and the bottom switch turns it dimmer. Very solid and whether you have the remote switch on or off, you can do everything either way that it’s capable of doing from the rear end of the flashlight. It also comes with a lanyard and two extra seals to keep it water tight. The mounts were great. Also, you could mount it to handlebars on a bike or to a weapon barrel or the rails. The two times I dealt with the customer service I had dropped the light on separate occasions and it hit lens first on the rocks. It wasn’t by any means the fault of the light but customer service took very good care of me and shipped the other new ones out quickly. The fall didn’t damage the light in any way, except the lens.I would highly recommend this light and it will become my gun light from now on.
