Easy to read..

I question the "Carbon Fibre" construction, feels and looks like black plastic, flexes like it too. Was slightly off on measuring checks with feeler gauges, but its cheap and cheerful so....

Good for the price but needs to reset after each use

Basic, but does what it needs. Accurate enough for most tasks.

Bought this to replace an older gauge of different make where I had lost the battery cover (so the battery kept falling out). On the plus side, the display is much easier to read as it is nice and big, and the battery holder is far more secure than my other gauge and it takes the more common 2032 battery. On the downside, there is no automatic start like my other one, so I have to remember to switch it on to use. When using, I have to reset to zero EVERY time I use it. For example, switch on and the gauge reads 0.00mm, slide the jaws open to measure then close and it can read 0.002mm or 0.004mm so have to remember to reset before measuring again which is a real pain. I can live with it as I am not measuring to that degree of accuracy, just something to be aware of

If your'e like me and you are a bit of DIY'er then you will realise over time that being out by a couple of millimetres starts to matter. With my wife finally realising I'm not to bad at woodwork and asking me to do the odd job, I now have a to make sure that Im accurate. With tools adding up and costs, I was pleasantly surprised to find this Caliper at a reasonable price. in the box is the battery and within minutes its doing its job. I would not say it's the most solid of tools, so needs to be treated respectfully. I keep it in the box and place it safe out of the way of heavier tools. Not in the tool box. The LCD is a good size. I now use it all the time.

Seems accurate came in a nice plastic box. Is a litte plastic feeling but good.
