impressive little gadget
Prompt delivery. Very impressed with it. Small but feels very well made in a metal case. Recorded speech is clear and volume level is acceptable. No problems picking up normal conversations in a household environment. would recommend it.

Very handy to use
The size is small and easy to keep in your pocket! It does the job. The sound quality is not too bad!

Discrete device for hours (days!) of quality recording
This is a very clever little device. Incredibly small, it's great for discrete recording (if that's what you need) at a reasonably high quality. It's generally very easy to use, with a simple on/off switch the only control on the recorder, though the set up process - editing a text file stored on the device itself needs a small degree of technical ability (it's pretty well described in the manual which comes as a paper copy in the box, or as a PDF file on the device).A single LED gives an indication of the status, although when actually recording there's no visible sign to signify this so it really is discrete!At the highest quality setting, the resulting audio files are pretty good, allowing for where the recorder is placed relative to the source - it's not the most sensitive of microphones, and it's not entirely clear exactly where it's located in the case, but in testing I've found clarity is good in a range of scenarios and I am sure it would work as a 'close up' interview / meeting recorder as well as for capturing lectures in larger rooms.It looks pretty robust and comes with a good set of accessories - the included earphones aren't the highest quality, but any set of earphones with a 3.5mm plug can be used.Overall, a clever piece of kit that I'm going to use pretty frequently.

Won't connect to a PC even after rest therefore faulty.
Item does not connect to a Windows 11 PC via the USB cable. It is reported as malfunctioned or not shown.Tried resetting device with same behaviour above.Arrived faulty.

Compact and Capable
I use this to record evidence of noise nuisance (Barking Dog) and it has proved very efficient allowing audio evidence to be compiled by date/time/duration. The auto-record voice activation means it captures it all.It has very large storage capacity and battery life that makes it a highly efficient tool to use for my purposes plus easy connect to PC and transfer to PC Hard Drive. I transfer File Type to VLC Media Player.Great device, great price.An up-date to my last above. It developed a Drive fault some six months after constant use and I mean in use 18 out of 24 hours constant use for my purposes. I contacted Vivaniir via the supplied Email address and received a reply within 12 hours and a replacement unit within 48 hours.The warranty and customer support is gold standard so buy with confidence folks.GrahamScotland
