Works great for smaller dogs. I close my bedroom door at night so my dogs were cut off from their big water despenser. This is works good it is small doesn't take up a ton of room, yet still holds a good amount of water. The quality is good, comes with extra valve lids, easy to fill and clean. Stainless bowl is nice too. If you have big dogs probably not big enough, but great for the little dogs and my cats like it too.

I’ve bought these types of automatic waterers in the past and didn’t like them. They were awkward to clean and prone to spilling when you did. Often I’d just wait until the water bottle was empty which isn’t ideal. This product has features that fix those issues.1) it has a cap for the water bottle that controls the flow. This allows you to lift the water bottle out of the base without spilling all over the place. If the bottle is still mostly full of water and you need to clean the base, you don’t have to try to transport the whole thing to the sink to contain the spillage as you separate the bottle from the base. Just lift it out and set it aside. It even came with a second no-spill cap which was nice.2) the base has a filter. Even when the metal bowl got slimy, the filter kept the slime from getting beyond the metal bowl.3) the metal bowl. It’s separate bowl from the plastic base. It’s low profile and easy to pick up and take to the sink for cleaning (or put through the dishwasher).Everything about this watering system makes it super easy to clean and not make a mess. Honestly, don’t buy any watering system that doesn’t have these features.

We love the look of this dog waterer. We have 3 big dogs and 1 small dog and go through a lot of water in the AZ heat. We got the biggest size. I looked at several and read a ton of reviews before buying this dog waterer. I was a bit nervous about the “missing piece” reviews but relied more on the reviews that did not have that rare issue. I know many people leave reviews for problems like that but less when it’s exactly as advertised.We could not be happier. It’s a great looking waterer and the stainless dish is so easy to remove and clean. Perfect flow rate that does not over fill. Our old waterer was so full the large dogs would drool horribly. We love everything about it so far. I also like that it filters the water. Love it and will likely get another for another spot in our home.

So first off this dispenser is big. It has great flow and for my large golden the bowl is perfect. I like that it comes with a cleaning brush.That being said I do like it has the filter, but that is where the flaw is also. They force you to always buy their filters. If you don’t have a filter in place it won’t dispense water. The way around it is if you don’t want to buy the filters for forever is to break one open and remove the filter and use the plastic part so it will dispense.Over all I like the dispenser, but if I had known they force you to buy the filters I might not have gotten it.

The reason why I bought this was because unlike the other "two piece" ones with the water container and bowl, this one has a removable stainless steel bowl that's easier to clean than having to clean a one-piece bowl and base. I use this for the feral cats in my yard and it's working great!

My two dogs drink a lot of water and this helps me not have to fill up a bowl like a million times every day which is nice. It’s opening is pretty small so you have to get a thin bottle brush to clean it out. That being said, I’m really happy with the bowl and so far it works really well.Easy to assemble, very durable, does not smell like plastic, easy to remove the bottle and refill it. I did put a silicon mat with edges under it since the bowl part is kind of small and my dogs flip water out pretty often.

I bought several of these (indoor and outdoor) to keep several cats "watered" while I was on a 3 day business trip (a friend stopped by to fill the food deal with litter boxes). I can say they work wonderfully! I had some initial concerns that the bowl may be too high for cats, and especially kittens (yep, have several) but no problem! Even the kittens were able to drink from them just fine. These are very easy to use. Just fill the bottle with water, screw on the top, flip it over and drop it on the circular plastic tray fitting. One surprise: for some reason some of the cats use these as "paw washes"! I've seen them do it several times and it leaves a small amount of dirt and litter in the bottom of the tray. So plan on dumping and washing your tray daily if you have a lot of cats, but it is easy to do. Like ANY cat water dish, you need to wash the tray and the removable plastic circle in the tray it fits into with soap every 3 days or so or it will form a slick biofilm from their saliva. While considering buying these I stressed a bit over what size to buy. I bought a 6L and two 8L units. Both worked just fine for a 3-day trip. The 8L was only 1/2 emptied, the 6L about 2/3 empty. Note that the 8L bottle is rather heavy when full, which is another concern. A gallon jug of water is 3.8 liters, so 8L is like carrying two-gallon water jugs at the same time. EDIT 7/15/24 just occurred to me while filling one with water that any of these sizes can be just partially filled, such as 4 or 6 gal of water int the 8 gal, to keep the weight down but yet save the *option* for adding more on a long trip. I also forgot to say that for the 3-day trip I used a small piece of duct tape to tape the top of the water bottle to nearby table leg, etc. to prevent the inevitable male cat fight from knocking it over. The bottle is pretty secure with the water weight, at least until nearly empty, buy hey boy cats can knock anything over lol. ALL IN ALL, RECOMMENDED!!! No electric power required.

I love this. Once a week maybe a little more and I don't have to worry about the water bowl going dry. The water is always available and it doesn't spill all over the floor. It's easy to see when you need to fill up the bottle. This contraption is totally worth it.
