Well made. Perfect for pet food storage and a great place to feed the cats while keeping cat food elevated and away from where our rabbit can reach. Fast shipping and rustic looking. This chest really ties our DIY cat wall elements together. The most impressive thing is the non-skid rubber feet. We have a tile floor and this trunk is the only piece of furniture that doesn’t slide or ‘wander’ on our tile floor. It stays securely where it should be. I also love the lid mechanism. It prevents the lid from slamming down but is super easy to open and close.

The trunk itself is very nice, it's well made, it's all that I had hoped for.

I was prepared to be disappointed when I carried the package inside-- it is lighter in weight than I expected. However, some of that lightness turned out to be because of the metal--it's either tin or aluminum, I'd say. The box is not made of that cheap balsa type wood. It is a soft wood, which is naturally lighter by nature. I like the box a lot, and would love to give it five stars, but for a couple minor issues. Because it's softwood, it does ding easily. The cat scratched the wood with his hind claw as he jumped off it. He jumped off with a lot of force because he was playing, so it's only been that once so far. The other issue is also that the wood has a rough texture, rather than being sanded smooth. It's done that way to give it a rustic look, which is nice. Actually it works in my favor, because I have a knitted pad on top for the cat and the texture of the wood actually holds it in place pretty well. It's already gotten several compliments. The patina on the metal is lovely, just as shown in the pic. I am using it for my files--one of those plastic racks that hold hanging files fits perfectly, while a basket for pending files fits neatly beside it. It would work for a throw or two, but is probably too small if you need to stash a bunch of throw pillows.

Mediums size trunk purchased in the warehouse. Trunk came ALMOST fully assembled. Due to defect, the side and lid were not attached. If you buy a full price, I’m not sure if this trunk is fully assembled. I am giving 5 stars because of the price and look. I purchased in the warehouse for a steal, but the trunk had issues: -The top was not attached, but had been -the side was also not attached, but had been I nailed the side and top (I need more nails for the side) I read the reviews prior to purchase: THE NOISE, is a bracket that holds the lid in place so it doesn’t slam down. When you open or close it clicks, that’s it. THE WOOD, is authentic so there will be some flaws, that’s what makes it nice THE SMELL, mine did not have a smell. I do believe it was put together poorly, and you may need to reinforce with common household nails. OVERALL, descent size trunk with aged look, value for the money if you can get in the warehouse. *I use the trunk for storage of my supplies and staging pics on top. The little things pic on trunk are florals and mine so please disregard*

These are really light weight and look nice, but not the most sturdy. I paid roughly $100 marked down from $300, and would've been pretty upset if I had paid the higher price. For the cost they're ok. The black "metal" bands/trim are actually laminated wood strips (otherwise I would've given 4 stars) and one was chipped but I was able to use a black Sharpie to color it in. The only metal seems to be the hinges, side rings (which are purely decorative - don't try to life them by those!) and the decorative studs on the trim pieces. Again, for the price they are ok just not overly sturdy. I wouldn't store anything heavy in them as the bottoms will probably give out.

This arrived with a giant crack in the top and is very lightweight and flimsy. Because it is not convenient to return or exchange items like this, I suppose I am stuck with it. I deeply regret wasting this amount of money on such a shoddy and substandard product.

Perfect size (large). Can be used as a side table, storage etc. I love it :)
