Do NOT buy. Cool concept. Poor longevity.
I too was looking for something "new" without the ball float to stop water from filling the underground sump beyond what I needed. This was installed, and worked for about 2 months. After that, it did not stop the water flow at all, and water would fill well beyond the point I needed. I thought it was dust. So I removed it, opened up the mechanism, cleaned it - there was no dust inside, just the rubber gasket inside looked it had absorbed too much water from being submerged for a long time - and put it back. Nope. Still did not work. This is a bad quality product. Now I am on the lookout for the traditional ball float to stop the water again.

Not recommended !
It doesn't work the way it is supposed to do. Water flow is very low after using this product. Looks like a faulty design. Please fix the issue before selling such product to customers. Not recommended at all. Waste of money !

Perfect product
It does what they said. As soon as the water level touches the bottom of the valve the water inflow stops. We have stopped wasting precious drinking water and started saving money

Misleading size
1 inch valve should allow 1 inch diameter flow of water per sec. Only the pipe thread is 1.inch Inside it narrows down and is less than 0.5 inch. causing water hammering. It brings down the efficiency of the whole pipe output flow. Little disappointed. I had 1.5 inch pipe and bought 2 , splitting using a T connector so that I can reduce water hammering. But this does not help

Ordered twice both product defective/ not working
Worst product. The item that I received didn’t work. I requested for replacement and the new one worked for a month and then stopped working. No water flow. Don’t see how to get product support from vendor. Waste of money and time.
