Do these stay soft, or do they turn into sandpaper after lots of washes? Sellers need not reply.

The towels stay soft after many washings. Unfortunately, they are not as absorbent as I would have liked, so I would not purchase them again.

What color is the stripes on this towel?

Stripe is made from Rayon Thread, they pick up color better than Cotton so they are little darker in tone compared to towel, but they are in same family.
