Very good system, shame it's no longer for sale.
I bought this is September 2014 for £250.I'm a professional cameraman and have built a wireless HD director's monitor cage using this system. The image is really good, with a decent usable range on location through walls and doors, and with no noticeable latency or breakup. There's a useful 1/4 inch thread on the rear of the receiver which allows me to mount it to an monitor cage.I power it from a 20,000 mAh 2A USB battery, which can run the receiver all day.The transmitter runs from USB at 1A using a small USB battery which strap onto the camera in various positions as required.I have a set of three batteries on rotation.I can't fault the kit considering it's design as a domestic system, and it has held up to many months of location work.If you are a professional looking for a cheap wireless system you might considering looking for the Aputure Trans Array which i due out soon.

Hopeless- Maybe faulty?
Arrived unpaired so not a great start. Found You Tube showing pairing method which was successful after 8 or 9 attempts. Range when connected in a straight line with zero obstruction absolute max 10 feet before pixelation. Close up it was fine and there appeared to be no latency but it would be easier and cheaper to use a cable to bridge the gap it could cope with. However switch off (which you will at night because both transmitter and receiver get very hot) and theyre no longer paired. Start pairing process all over again which is clearly not acceptable. The transmitter did actually look 'used' so Im assuming this is a faulty unit, maybe even a previous return reboxed so this is going staright back.Ive ordered another and will see how it performs as clearly some people are fining these units to be useful.

Great product
I've spent some time reading through all of the reviews on these wireless HDMI products and the more I read the more nervous I became about whether the product would even work.I have a blu-ray HDD recorder that can record HD programmes and I wanted to be able to watch these on TVs elsewhere in the house without unplugging the recorder or messing about with burning to blu-ray. The inability to stream HD content over DNLA finally drove me to take the plunge and I decided to go for the Nyrius Aries Pro due to the compactness of the transmitter and the claimed range. I could have chosen a system that sends an IR remote signal back to the transmitting device but the discreteness of the transmitter and the ability to power it by USB helped make my decision - I am fine with setting the blu-ray player to play before heading upstairs to watch the programme. Whilst this particular device does not have the ability to transmit IR signals from the remote, I understand the receiver is compatible with some other Nyrius devices and comes with an IR repeater detector to plug in if used with one of those systems.I am pleased to say that I have not been disappointed with the product I received - the signal transmits fine throughout my home from the blu-ray recorder downstairs to the bed rooms upstairs. I've not tried to test the range to the max, but it does exactly what I need to (I live in a standard new build UK house) with a clear signal and no lag.The only gripe I have with the product is that it ships with a US plug on the power adapter for the receiver, so I needed to dig out my old adapter socket to allow me to run the system. However, all in all, I think that this is a great product and is quick and easy to set up and get running.

Works well but only 1/10 times!!!
I really want to like this kit but it’s too unstable. I had the units less than 4 meters from each other with full line of sight. When it was working, the picture was great and so was the sound.... unfortunately it only worked 10% of the time. No good.

Works perfectly
Bought this to remove the wires from a ps4 to the TV. It was incredibly easy to set up (plug and play), and there’s no notable difference in the audio, video, or reaction time (lag).I have mind set up over around a 2 metre gap.One nice feature was the HDMI L shaped fitting which allows you to connect at different angles if there’s an issue.Although expensive, you get quality in return.

will not work going from upstairs to downstairs
i had problems with this product from the off, had to manually sync together with the provided instructions. i managed to get the dongle and receiver to connect over 5m or less but what i purchased it for to go from a back bedroom to front living room it didn't reach (one wall and one ceiling ) i wouldn't recommend this product as looks and feel cheap not worth the price, some of the rubber legs kept falling off

Poor transmitting through walls.
This device works ok as long as the transmitter and receiver are in line of sight of each other. I have given the Nyrius Aries Pro 3 stars, it doesn't function well when the signal has to pass through walls, 15 feet away with a stair case in between and the signal dropped out, or was very poor indeed. I use the Nyrius for transmitting from my camera to a screen or recorder, in line of sight works fine with very very little delay and at 1080p without any picture loss.

Reliable product, great quality picture and sound
After hearing so many tales of woe relating to wireless HDMI kits, I was a little wary of how well this would work. Admittedly, it doesn't come cheap, but the kit has done exactly what it says on the box so far. The setup I have means the transmitter is only about 5 or so metres away from the receiver, with a light barrier between, but there is no loss of picture or sound quality even on HD, from what I can tell. The latency is very low too. Pairing took a short while to figure out, and was temperamental on one occasion (though this was perhaps more due to the setup of the TV itself or the sound system), but other than that, it's been running smoothly for a number of weeks now.Overall, if you don't mind shelling out the cash for one of the higher-end wireless HDMI kits, this is a great choice.
