For years, there was an unused cable outlet in my living room without a faceplate which left small openings into the wall to the left and right of the outlet. Because this outlet was behind the couch and out of sight, I never replaced it--out of sight, out of mind! After recently moving the couch to put down a new rug, I purchased this wall plate to close the gaps once and for all. It was a great purchase, and couldn't have been easier to use--just unscrew the existing plate, disconnect the cable line from the connector, reattach the cable to the new plate, and use the two provided screws to reattach the new plate. The entire task took less than 5 minutes--I should have done it sooner!
