This replaced the 26 year old original perfectly.
After 26 years, my well water finally killed the valve I installed when we moved in. I was dreading replacing it, as the best approach with my well system seems to be to not touch it, but I stumbled across this one which looked much like the old one. It dropped right in and works perfectly.

Check that it includes the washers and gaskets
Perfect replacement for a laundry shutoff valve installed in 1991. It’s great to be able to find replacement parts for a 35 year old valve.Before disassembling your old valve, ensure that the replacement kit came with the washers and gaskets shown in the product description. The kit dated 3/13/25 was missing these parts, but the kit dated 10/4/24 included them in a small plastic bag labeled KIT-AA-KIT. The kits have the same part number (KIT-AA) and the same UPC barcode. Perhaps the manufacturer now expects customers to find the washers and gaskets separately.If the kit you receive is missing parts, you may be able to find: two 7/8” x 5/8” x 3/32” (22x16x2.4 mm) flat rubber washers; two 1/2” x 5/16” x 1/16” (13x8x1.5 mm) flat plastic washers; one #10-24 3/8” machine screw with a lock washer. Note that regular garden hose flat rubber washers (15/16” x 5/8” x 1/8”, or 24x16x3 mm) won’t work: they will leak.

Easy and perfect fit
This is a DIY job. Very easy to install in replacing an existing Symmons washer shut-off valve. Just make sure the main water is first shut-off. Kit comes with all the pieces and more.
