Motion Sensor Light - Battery Powered - Efficient Wireless LED Nightlight - Stick-On Anywhere - Guaranteed High Performance and Great Customer Support

I really did not have a particular place in mind to put the "Motion Sensor LED Light " by Cosmically solar when I made the purchase, I just thought it was kinda cool. However now that I have it, there are so many places I want to put it I can not seem to decide where it will go. so I may have to purchase another one. The whole unit is about 3" in diameter and has a 2" x 1" strip made up of 3 LED lights and is adjustable up and down. It is easily magnetically mounted by using either the self adhesive sticky back pad or screwing the small mounting plate to the wall. Both are included with the light, but if you are looking for the screw it is inside the battery cover. The light itself is quite bright, enough light for a hallway or stairwell. The fact that the beam of light is adjustable also makes it versatile enough for accent lighting or under cabinet illumination, and of course any area that is not well lit like a pantry, broom or linen closet or a spice cabinet would work good as well. The sensor has a nice range and picks up any motion very quickly so if you have pets you may want to think about mounting it a little higher than them to keep them from constantly setting it off and draining the battery, Although it will turn itself off after 10 seconds of inactivity. The feature I really liked about this particular motion sensor light is that because it is magnetically mounted you have the option of just pulling it off the wall for use as a flashlight. This is a feature that would be very convenient in a blackout situation. The only reason that I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because in order for you to utilize it as a flashlight you have to change the setting from "auto" to "on" and in order to do this you have to remove the battery cover to get to the switch. I just feel that in times that require the use of a flashlight it would be a lot easier if the switch was on the outside of the light. I did receive this product for a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, and my opinion is that this is a very nice little light with a multitude of user possibilities and versatile enough for any home, office, shed or garage. So for these reasons I would recommend it to anyone seeking to put a little more light in their day to day lives. I've been using this motion sensor light now for about a month and it has some notable pros and cons:Pros: Motion detection is instantaneous. The set of three eneloop AAA batteries that I'm using in it have yet to require a recharge. The light is quite bright.Cons: The ON duration is 10 seconds with no adjustment. I move pretty quickly, but 10 seconds is really short. The light is also very bright if you're trying to use this for a temporary light to guide you to the bathroom. My son said "it burns!"Solution: I cut out a rectangular piece of red construction paper and taped it over the movable light panel. The light is so bright that it shines straight through the paper, but now producing a pleasant warm glow that's plenty sufficient for my bathroom with a bit of extra light leakage along the top and bottom of the light panel to brighten up the wall enough to see where everything is. Of course, it turns off super fast, leading me to wonder if I'm still dreaming. A wave of my hand makes it turn on again. You can simply put it on top of the toilet tank and it does what it needs to do and its 10 second ON duration is just barely long enough for this use case. (see my photo)Manufacturer Recommendations: Change the duration to at least 30 seconds. I'd prefer a light that I can use in the hallway as well as in a small 3x3 room. The light needs to be on long enough to transit the hallway, otherwise what's the point? As for brightness, you could remold the plastic lens so that it has a slot along the top and bottom that's enough to slide in a translucent plastic diffuser that could double as a light intensity reducer. That way, the consumer could choose whether to have it bright white or a nice red/orange glow for nighttime. (the daylight spectrum white of these LED's will certainly wake you up)

This Cosmically Solar - Motion Sensor Light, very light and portable. It is battery operated LED Light motion sensor, so you don't need to consider where you have to put it. As long as there is smooth surface where you can actually stick the double-sided sticker that came with it. It is also very light that you can stick it on any direction, sideways, upward, or downward, you choose. The LED lights/bulbs are also adjustable so can actually direct it to the path where you wanted it facing.. It is not space consuming, so you can easily use it in a small space, like closets, and for my case I put it in my spice cabinet. Eve though I have a Lazy Suzan, turning that darn thing is quite impossible without knocking every bottles and jars in there, so I would rather just see everything that reach out to whatever I need, easier that way. This Battery Operated LED Light motion sensor by Cosmically Solar, aside from being versatile and easy to use, also very economical, even if it uses 3 AAA+ batteries, it doesn't really consume as much power, because it has a setting on the switch that automatically turns off after 10 seconds, of no movements around the unit. The downside of this unit, though I don't really find it that terrible is the power "switch", it is tucked inside the batter section, and also the switch itself is very tiny. You got stubby fingers you might need a help of a child, or need a long fingernails to switch it on. Other than that, it's perfect, you can even use it as a camping light, because of the on button there, that will leave the unit turned on as long as you wanted.This unit is good for front porch, backyard and small spaces that need a motion sensor. It is easy to assemble use.
