Soft material making it prone to warping when welding. Looks good

Went with these for a project, 3 of the 4 hinges binded so badly I had to cut them out and replace with barrel hinges from my weld supply. The binding occurred in the female side of the hinge, they should be able to take 1/4” weld without going oblong and becoming useless.
