Easy fix
I own a 2018 Volkswagan UP! The front wiper was skipping part of the windscreen. I found a video on YouTube that used a Bosch wiper blade, and as the replacement looked easy I thought I'd give it a go. Took all of 15 seconds to swap over from the old wiper to the new one. Great job. I also ordered this Bosch back screen wiper under a different order. It was just as easy as the front windscreen wipers.

It seems like a surprising number of VW owners have suffered from the noisy back wiper problem. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing defect or if they just wear out quickly, but I bought a used VW that was only two years old and had this problem from day one. The back wiper made such a horrible groaning, creaking sound. It reminded me of the cheesy sound effect of Dracula's coffin lid opening in an old Hammer horror film. So I ordered this replacement Bosch wiper and problem solved! Silent wiping has been restored and I'm a happy man.One tip is to check the wiper size you need. I accidentally ordered the wrong one initially and it made a really loud clicking noise when I tried it. I checked the size and realised I needed a smaller size and that one works flawlessly.
