Great game - dont forget to buy the English version...
Con: It is in German If you don't speak German, make sure you buy the English version! I'm giving to my German friend and buying again in English... Pro: Giving it 5 stars because it is such a good game that when I was introduced to it by a friend, I immediately went online and bought my own copy. Which is why I didn't bother reading the reviews (because I already knew it was good!) which would have alerted me me to the fact this was the German version.

Don't buy unless you speak Czech!
I was sent a Czech version and now the return window has closed so I'm stuck with it. I bought it as a Christmas present and didn't notice until they opened it.

How’s your German?
Despite the information in the description saying it was in English, the wording on the box was in German. Very misleading. I returned the item for a refund and reordered the English version which was £5 dearer. Very disappointing.

Codenames ist für mich eines dieser Spiele, das man immer wieder gerne auf den Tisch holt. Die Regeln sind schnell erklärt, der Einstieg fällt leicht, und trotzdem bleibt es spannend und unterhaltsam – gerade weil die Kombination aus Wortspiel und Teamstrategie jedes Mal neue Herausforderungen bietet. Ich habe es schon mit unterschiedlich großen Gruppen gespielt, von 2 bis 8 Personen, und es funktioniert immer gut. Besonders gefällt mir, dass es sowohl Gelegenheitsspieler als auch erfahrene Spieler gleichermaßen anspricht. Die Qualität der Karten und des Materials ist solide, die Illustrationen schlicht, aber passend. Für mich ist es ein perfektes Gesellschaftsspiel für Familienabende, Spielrunden mit Freunden oder als Partyspiel. Fazit: Ein zeitloser Klassiker, der durch Einfachheit, Spannung und Spielspaß überzeugt – 5 Sterne.
