Amplicomms TV Listener TV2400 Wireless Radio Headset with Amplifier Integrated Microphone up to 120 dB

I ordered this item to replace TV Ears, but when it arrived, there was no 3pin plug for UK sockets and it did not work. I was sent a replacement, but this does not have a 3 pin plug either, only a 2 pin plug. I can't really give it any star rating, but to leave a review I have to leave at least 1 star.

The item arrived on time as stated and well packaged. the Amplicomms unit works fine, it is handy for people with a moderate hearing issue as it does have a tone control which most head phones do not have. The only criticism I have is a lack of support cord, one puts the ear pieces into your ears and it then just dangles from your ears with nothing to support it.Normal head phones do have the head band which rests on top of the head supporting the head phones, however, once the Amplicomms ear pieces are in your ears it does stay in place providing you remain seated, the unit is very light.

I first brought one of these amplicomms for a friend in 2015, it worked very well at first but eventually it got to the stage that it would fade out and the light would go out. after a time one could turn it on again but it would only last for a couple of minutes. This friend of mine then received another one from a friend in the USA in April 2017 and less than a year later it also doing exactly the same thing. It seems to me that there is a fundamental flaw in the design and the electronics of the device. Another draw back to this device is that it is not old people friendly. Personally I would not use this product again and would opt for a more robust article. Kevin

unfortunatly my hearing loss is so great that I have to have the phones on max , other people can here what I am listening to .but I am certain this product will help other people with hearing loss. i

Delivery good. Performance good. Getting occasional clicking. Not the most comfortable thing to wear but we are able to hear the television so much better.

The remarkable clarity of speech available through my Amplicomms TV2400 TV hearing aid now enables me to hear every syllable in dramas and films. Previously, and without sub titles, I was unable to even follow the plot, despite very high volume settings.I had attempted to improve the sound quality on my Sony KDL TV by adding 5-1 Sony BDV-E300 surround sound, and also playing through my Denon RCD-M38DAB stereo systems, but neither improved the speech aspect. Substituting computer speakers only matched those on the TV.The best result obtainable via speakers, was with the Sony TV’s own “Clear Voice” option, set to absolute minimum bass and max treble. The Amplicomms stethoscope provides crystal clear speech providing the TV’s own sound is muted; otherwise an unfortunate echo impairs the quality somewhat. For this reason I would recommend that you consider the full ear enclosing headphone options from Amplicomms, before settling for these otherwise perfect callipers.

This is a most effective device if there is one of you watching TV who is hard of hearing and others who are not. Now the hard of hearing person wears the lightweight " stethoscope" set to the volume which suits them and others listens to the TV speakers set to a normal level. This device could be saving many arguments about what is the right volume level.The device comes fully equipped with all the connectors your tv is likely to have. I used the RCA output to transmitter as I was already using my TV's optical output to my Bose speakers. At first nothing seemed to work but I discovered a slide switch on the transmitter which seemed to be in a neutral position. Once shifted to one or the other everything worked as described.

Makes both my grandparents happy as only one is hard of hearing. This means the rest of the room can listen at a comfortable volume
