GreenviewFairway Formula Spring Fertilizer Weed & Feed and Crabgrass Preventer

I purchased this for my husband for the last two years. Each time he puts it down in the Spring the grass grows like crazy and he has to mow often. It knocks out pesky weeds like crab grass and violets and helps areas that struggle. Only use this product if you want to mow.

Lawn greened up quickly and grew fast. There had been a lot of weeds the previous year and so far this year there has only been a handful. I’m waiting to see how this works the rest of the summer as my main goal is to not have to keep treating the lawn this summer. With that, I’m planning on using the Fall Fairway Formula in August/September.

I bought this late in the Spring and was late getting it down. I live in the desert southwest where weeds are the norm. aI used a Scotts Edge spreader. It works well but you still have to keep after the weeds. It did kill the weeds. Didn't kill the grass. Failed as a post emergent as the dandelions did come back. That may be because of when i put it down too late in the spring. Would I buy it again? Yes. I'll put it down again in the fall to prepare for next year. That will answer if it really works. A one time application isn't the answer for any fertilizer/we preventer.

I cut the grass short in the spring... immediately after the 3rd mowing of the season, I applied this fertilizer. I still have weeds and the grass doesn't appear to be growing any better with this stuff than it did with Scott's. It's cheaper, but I bought it to get rid of the weeds... which it didn't do.

Used on Bermuda in southeast US, I've used Scott's in past and its worked ok, home depot brand Visco or something is crap. Greenview I applied at 7pm right after big rain and next morning I could see wilting weeds, it was also a few days after it had been cut so the weeds were sticking up slightly which may have helped it stick to the actual weed. I always did Scott's in the past right after cutting but it seemed to work better this way. After waiting and cutting you can see black spots now where ground hugging weeds have died and turf is building in nicely. I applied just like instructions and this is my first treatment. This was rated the best for Bermuda lawns so if that's what u have I would give it a shot. I also had like 3 days after applying with no rain and then lots of rain for several weeks. I even notice areas where Crabgrass that had started looks to be going away or grown over by the grass. I can tell why they say Fairway Formula, lots of results from 1 application. I also like they have a spring and fall application so 2x a year and thats it, Scott's has like 4 applications and to me was too many times of year to remember, I like just spring and fall application if it works. Trick is researching your grass type and which will work best, from my experience. I have to get 2 10k sq ft bags, so $240 per year is great compared to what I used to pay trugreen. The thing is Greenwise is never in stores so after research I found online, if u have Bermuda you should definitely try this out. The Crabgrass preventative is also an added benefit that I didn't see in any others. If it was a month earlier in the year I'd apply a second time.

I applied this the day before it rained and all my dandalines never grew back. I still have creeping charley.

I bought this to help with weeds and feed the grass. As others have mentioned, I followed the directions perfectly and the weeds still grew like crazy. It’s a good fertilizer, but does nothing for weeds. My neighbor recommended Scott’s at $30/bag vs spending 80 on this. That will be my next purchase as I had to pull and spray weeds anyway using this. His grass looks better than mine too.
