Was using a wrist release while learning my compound bow but got tired of the thing being attached to my arm for various reasons. Wanted to try out one of these thumb releases but even reviews of expensive ones seemed all over the place. Settled on this one and haven't looked back. Look at any of the higher level releases on Amazon and some folks will tell you they are unsafe, bad materials and such. This one is an entry point for this type of release. Each time I pull it back I almost expect a misfire as others report but after hundreds of arrows down range it has performed as intended. After much use it started to get a little squeaky. A dash of oil at the connecting points and good to go. I've really enjoyed this thumb release and it has made shooting more fun and comfortable to handle.

Excellent product for a fifth the price! I've fired probably a hundred shots so far and it's holding up perfectly without any suggestion that it's going to let go prematurely or fail!

I’m an XL glove size.My pinky rubs on the hook portion. I’m probably going to cut the hook off.

I had previously purchased a release similar to this but wasn't very fond of the trigger mechanism. That release cost me about $90. Not relishing the idea of buying another one at that price point, only to be disappointed, I thought I'd give this one a try. For around $30 it seemed worth it - and it is. Didn't have to adjust anything on it and it works perfectly right out of the box. It arrived on time, in perfect condition, and works great - can't ask for much more than that.

If you shoot with more than 55 lbs it can jump the catch and scare the heck out of you. Great for low weight

Edit: This product is very dangerous as noted by other reviews. The 1st unit worked but came with a stripped adjustment screw, screwed all the way in. I figured I would exchange and see if this was a mistake the second came with the screw stripped but out this time. All it took was 3 draws and all 3 misfired and busted my lip to the point it was bloody. This is definitely a flaw in the product as I have received 2 that are defective. I understand some may have got an good unit one that at least worked like the 1st one but with so many mentioning stripped screws this is unacceptable. Keep in mind this is used to fire a weapon if a gun manufacturer had this many malfunctions the piece would be recalled. As this should be. I am very disappointed and injured on top of that. Don’t say you weren’t warned . I know I was and didn’t listen and now will have a healing busted lip for a few days.Works well but my main complaint is the adjustment screw for the trigger came stripped and no adjustments can be made other minor issue is the trigger is not very smooth, most likely the paint kind of like a sear on a firearm. I did hit it with oil made it a little better hopefully it will break in as I use it more. I think even with the trigger feel I would have given it 4 stars if it would have adjusted. On the fence if I should exchange it because I am ready to practice.

Nice release - I was using a wrist strap release and wanted to try this kind. Honestly, I kind of love it. Good movement, easy to control release and makes preactice a little more convenient.
