Beauty and the Beast
Bought the book for my grand-daughter so she knew the story before we went to panto. Really nice book, good pictures and well written.

Beautiful simple retelling of the film.
Our original copy bought many moons ago for my now 18 year old had seen better days, so for my 3 year old I decided to invest in a new version.Little Golden Books are classics (An american version of our Ladybird Books) and offer great value for money.Hardback, fully illustrated in colour and on nice crisp paper. True to the film, in both text and illustration.My daughter loves it, as do I - just the right length for a bedtime story!

Lovely, but perhaps not for small children and toddlers
I love the book, bought for my granddaughter's 4th birthday. I like it, but am a little disappointed because I feel that the texts are too long and quite verbose for the attention of a 4 year old. I must admit that I didn't see any age group for it, but if there isn't, maybe it should state one... I'm sure my granddaughter will grasp the gist of it, especially as they have the DVD, so no big worries: it will help her vocabulary no end!
