UPDATE: Worked well until it didn't
UPDATE: This may be common, but I'd never had this issue. After speaking with the vendor, they agreed to send me a new one in the mail. However, they mentioned to try Fn+F7 to unlock the trackpad. That worked! Great customer service! I've had this for 3 months. It worked very well! Last week the cursor/TouchPad stopped working...the keys will still work, Bluetooth and when just connected to the surface. But the TouchPad is pretty essential for my use. Just disappointed. I know it was inexpensive so not devastated

Defective Battery in Keyboard, But They Refunded Me
I'd return it if I hadn't already done structural modifications (added D-rings for a shoulder strap) to the tablet case. Out of the box, I plugged it into the charger and was rewarded with that comforting red LED glow. The next morning, is turned into a baleful crimson eye taunting me. Sure enough, after successfully pairing it with my Surface Go, ít dropped dead the moment I unplugged it from the charger. Useless. The case is functional, to a point. The key thing to know is that it does not cover the lower half of the Surface Go in landscape mode. It clips onto the upper half and the kickstand only. Unlike many other cases, it lacks any cushioning or bumpers. It will protect the tablet from scratches, but not drops. Due to the case's design, it also won't keep the touchscreen safe when placed face-down from minor protrusions. Lastly, it lacks a stylus holder, but that's a non-issue for me. Aside from signing the odd PDF, I never use one. Edit 2024-11-06 - Their customer support contacted me and offered a refund. +1 star for that. Edit 2024-11-30 - They sent me a complete kit, so this is a 4-star item. The case could protect the tablet a little more, and their QA needs work, but otherwise it's a good purchase. 4 stars!

Malfunctioned quickly..
Purchased this keyboard in October, 2 months later, just past the return option and the mouse pad no longer functions, sent message to seller and received no response, so much for reviews which I rely on, do not recommend.

Works just fine. I should have gotten the one with the lighted keys. It is still a good buy for me.
