This thing is the best purchase I've made in years. It attaches to the skimmer and runs when the pump runs. Purely mechanical it just randomly walks around the pool. My pool is huge - 35,000 gallons and I had to purchase two additional hose sections to reach it all. I run the pump four hours each evening and it keeps the pool spotless. I've had it for two seasons now and it's been trouble-free. Excellent product.

When this arrived our pool was good and dirty but no large debris. Assembly was quick and easy. I decided to use the vacuum side suction line. The enclosed adapter works but I may get a reducer or a latching connector. It states that it is low suction but I started out too low. Getting the timing right for the number of revolutions on the wheel with the arrow takes some practice and a stopwatch or at least a good seconds counter. I had to be a bit on the high side of the count of rotations to get it to climb the wall. It needs a bit more suction flow to cling to the wall. I also had to move the float on the hose up to the 1/3 of the other end away from the unit. After that we let it run for a few hours and to my shock it really did cover the entire pool except the stairs and bench. I hate to admit that it looks better than when I did it manually with the vacuum head on a pole. Why didn't I get this years ago?

I replace my old Zodiac mx8. This one works better than the mx8: it works better with large debris and not get stuck in steps with curve out edges. I’ve been running this for a couple of months and it has cleared up the side of the pool. Very good! so far.October 24, 2024: this new design is so much better: I haven’t needed to clear the turbines of any leaves and the branches my tree would fall and fall into the pool. The old Mx 8 would get stuck and I had to fish the thing out of the pool and clear the jams. This new one doesn’t jam hardly. Amazing design and so much easier to clean the turbines simply lift out of the gearbox. Effortless cleaning.Fascinating how the entire thing is redesigned and better.

Returning after only 3 days in pool. On numerous occasions would just stop moving. Does not climb wall that is rounded to pool bottom. Wheel tread just rotates against wall and the diffuse bottom area does not provide suction against wall to allow it to creep up. After minutes bumping against wall tracks would reverse, sometimes it would move a foot away from wall and then start spinning. Sometimes 2 360 degree spins only to again head into wall. Excessive spinning kept it from reaching other end of pool. Defective unit, perhaps, but I can’t risk such an expensive mistake. Neighbor has same pool and his different brand cleaner goes up his wall. Should have bought that one in first place. IMO cleaners are hit or miss, my advice now is to check with friends and neighbors with similar pools.After initial review I got other brand, works much better. What struck me was how the other brand brought a simple spring loaded device that told you if your line suction was within the required range. The Polaris makes you time the rotation of the spinning wheels under it. Wow!!! What a ridiculous way to gauge if you have the required suction.

This is Wallie-2 I named my first one Wallie because of how well it climbed the walls of the pool. I replaced parts until it just could not work anymore. This one is new and really improved. There are guards around the treads, so they don't come off. The sweep mechanism has been improved to little scoops to facilitate removing debris. All of the parts are clearly labeled. I really enjoyed working on my old one because of the simplicity of making minor repairs. The how-to video is a tremendous help. It takes all of the guess work out and fear out of taking it apart and cleaning it.

This pool cleaner works well. It's a little pricey, but for some reason, so are a lot of pool cleaners. I don't like it when birds defecate in my pool.

This is the 2nd vacuum I have purchased in 5 years of having a pool. The previous one I purchased was a 4 wheel unit that I thought my be able to get over the drain. But no I spent more time getting it off the drain than the 2 wheel. So I decided to get rid of the 4 wheel vacuum before I went insane. Now with this new won I have decided it was well worth getting rid of the 4 wheel even though itwas not that old. I am very happy with this new vacuum and would genuinely recommend it.
