The extra lumens were exactly what I needed and was hoping for. I can finally see in the laundry room! But, be aware, these bulbs are huge and get hot near the base. They are far bigger than the standard A21 size, more like an A23; longer and fatter. They just barely fit in my enclosed ceiling dome light, bumping right up against the glass and yes, they do get hot. The fixture is rated for 100 watts so, theoretically, all is well.

Easy to use

My street has no public lighting, so we rely on the good graces of our neighbors to illuminate the neighborhood at night. I took it upon myself to get some really nice and BRIGHT bulbs to put on the external sconces on my garage. I've always had a great experience with Great Eagle bulbs and these were no exception. They. Are. Bright.I have been a bit lazy to get the light switch updated to my Kasa switches so that they have a schedule (on at dusk, off at dawn), so they've just been running 24/7. I went a little over one year of 24/7 utilization before one of the two bulbs started flickering badly. According to my math, I got about 8,760 hours of utilization before failure. According to Great Eagle's math, they should have gotten closer to 15,000 hours before failure. I'll attribute the lower life expectancy due to the fact that these bulbs were exposed to Midwestern weather (humid/dry cycles, hot/cold cycles, summer/winter cycles, etc.), so they worked great considering the environment.I cannot recommend them for indoor usage as they have a really bad hum/coil whine when used in a lamp.All things considered, these bulbs worked fantastically for my application and I would definitely purchase them again.

These bulbs are huge. They say A21 base, and they are, but the actual bulb itself is like a full 3" in diameter, so be ready for that.They also get really hot, like way too hot to touch, way hotter than I was expecting for an LED bulb that's only 20 watts. I originally put 2 in an overhead fixture in a dimly lit room, and they were so freakin' bright that my retinas were aching. So I decided to pull one out, and yeouch that bulb was toasty, not something I'm used to with LEDs. I might not want to put these in a recessed light fixture in a ceiling because of that, but in an open-air lamp these appear to be really bright, really big, good bulbs. Only had 'em a week so I can't say as to longevity, but they're LED so they should last years.

I like them

I bought the 3K bulb over a year ago. I use it on my yard lamp post. The light was adequate. It was on an automatic switch and ran about 11-12 hours (dusk to dawn) every day. Each of the two bulbs lasted about seven months each or about 2,400 hours est. For a budget bulb price, and at 20 watts, I can't complain. Ordered a new set of the 5Ks.

I really lights these at first. They were bright, lightweight, etc I was happy. Then tonight, a day later, I turned the light in and hmmm. What was that noise? No dimmer, not an electronic switch, just an old style flip switch. Turned the light off, gone, back on and there it was again. Since i bought 2, i went to the other room. Turned the light on, yup, humming there also just a bit quieter. The hum must be relatively loud, since i am older and have tintinitus in both ears, but can still hear it. Oh well, back to searching.
