Strong and precise.
Very light and easy to adjust. Great to use with my super macro lens.

May meed some filing!
It will do the job but the 1/4"UNC connection for the camera on top appears to have been mechanically forced through the casting destroying the thread. Hardly presicion engineering. Out came the needle files to widen the end of the mounting slot to get it back out and run a tap down it to sort the thread out. Obviously I said it would do the job but steer clear if you don't have the tools to hand or understand what I have just typed. Don't destroy your camera mounting hole. Now I've had to file it it is unreturnable but usable.

Buy something of better quality
The main issue with this device is its design. It fiddly to attach your camera. The measurement markers fell off I soon as I unpacked it.I think it's one of those products where you think, "well, it didn't cost much so I'll make do"

Recomended
About a week of use. So far it seems well built, good quality, exactly as described under different branding. Seems a bit loose everywhere at first, until you tighten up the screws a little. Easy to use. Made of metal, except for the tightening screws handles. Didn't regret. For the money, definitely recommended!

easy to use
its a bit on the heavy side , but once fixed to the tripod, its easy to get the close up . the only thing is to use the timer to take the photo as it does move slightly if you use the shutter
