Great range - really! Extremely clear sound...
We have an annex at the side of the house that we now run as a self-contained B&B. Guests have their own entrance and no access to the main house so I needed some way for them to contact us in an emergency or just to check-out.I bought this after looking at a few and like that there were two receivers, 1 that plugs in (upstairs for the night) and the other portable one for using downstairs. The distance covered by this unit is brilliant. I put the bell push in the kitchen of the annex - you then have to walk through a small lounge, a large bedroom, close one door, go through a corridor into a boot room, close another door, go through another hall, up a flight of stairs and then through another door ... and it works!! Crystal clear and perfectly. There are loads of tunes I wouldn't dream of using but they might be useful for someone else (The Wedding March??) and just set mine to a pretty normal 'ding dong'!! It's loud too... very.Persevere with the batteries (that are provided) I didn't think my unit was working but put them back in a few times and all worked well and still is. Maybe I had put them in around the wrong way or copied how they were when I unpacked it - either way, if you have a prob first time keep trying.Great unit, great range, great price - happy me!

So far so good.
This is my third attempt in recent years to get a wireless bell that seems to do what it says on the box. I live in a 100+ year old house with thick walls and previous purchases have struggled to get a signal from the door to the centre of the house. This has meant having to place the receiving unit much closer to the door in a position which left half of the rooms out of range. Even then, the transmitter and reciever frequently lost touch and had to be re-paired. There were two recievers in this particular kit - one a mains plug in unit, and the other a battery powered unit and both worked straight out of the box. The battery operated unit is at the centre of the house whilst the mains unit is in a room at the opposite end of the house - an impressive range through a number of thick walls!I have one concern regarding the instructions, since they say that, the bell push should not be placed in a position where it is exposed to rain or direct sunlight. In my case, on a south facing wall, it will certainly experience both in abundance! Whether this will shorten the lifespan of the unit remains to be seen.

Now I can hear the doorbell when asleep in bed.
Solved the problem of not hearing the doorbell, when in bed asleep. I put the remote upstairs, and the main downstairs. If we are in the garden and expecting a call, we simply take the remote with us. Plug and play. Take the bell out of the box put it where you want it. even the bell push has an adhesive on the back to stick it to the door or frame. No wires, no fuss. A selection of tones from the strident Ding..Dong. to melodies. Pleased I bought it.

Works very well, over long range
After two previous doorbells that didn't have enough range or poor sound quality, it was third time lucky with this one. Works throughout my flat with good, loud, sound and a wide selection of tunes (some strange choices, but at least there should be something for everyone). The only issue I've had is that the batteries in the receiver only lasted a few months, and expired without warning. I only noticed after I'd temporarily unplugged the mains receiver.

Early days, but high hopes.
Very easy to set up. Volume adjustable and set to perfect for me. But .. I wanted to screw it to door frame - I found 2 screws but no fixing plate (which was mentioned in booklet). There was no tape to remove from the battery compartment of the transmitter- did I get a unit that had been returned by someone else? But I have high hopes for the bell.

very good but not perfect
excellent product that does what it says BUT whilst not affecting the efficiency that blue light on the plug in receiver is far too bright AND the actual transmitter which you fix on the outside door has nothing on it to say its a bell push (its rather a different shape to most) and nothing on it to indicate its transmitting when its pushed . Most bell pushes have an LED which lights up when the bell is pushed to show its actually working. These are small points but including them on future models would I feel make an already good product perfect

Got what I wanted
Did what it said on the box, plug and play, I used 3m double sided tape to mount the bell push on door frame. Find the battery unit useful, as I can take down to my greenhouse and shed with me. One little moan, I find the led light on the main unit too bright, or unnecessary, house seems to be full of little lights, when the main ones are off, but that's just me, I like dark to be dark!

Works well
The best part of this sysem is the bell push button which is several times larger than most, and it works unlike most. A large choice of tunes most of which sound tacky but you can just have a chime sound. If you already have plenty of AA bateries to use in the portable unit then you will be out of luck as it needs AAA batteries (some non rechargable ones are included).
