Don't get me wrong: I LOVE the way they smell, and they are obviously developed to do a good job with stains. However... I became more and more aware that A LOT of the chemicals in them are absolutely horrible (eg. look up Benzisothiazolinone) The last straw was the moment I realised: my cats' skin became sensitive to freshly washed bedding and blankets. I had to swap.Currently I'm half-way through my first box of Nuts About Soap's laundry liquid. I must say, I couldn't be happier; it does a great job with stains, removes sweaty smells from gym clothing and our skin stopped the usual itching. To my delight, my cats' skin stopped being irritated too.The product is smartly packaged, easy to use and smells nice. There are no hidden additives and there is a superb website, dedicated to give more product info. I've been using this for about a month & am delighted to find that it washes just as well if not better than the soap nuts with no bits to leave any stains; the washing is lovely & clean, smells great (nothing artificial & no lingering sweaty odours), and is also very soft so we don't need conditioner. The problem with environmentally friendly cleaning products is that they seem to just have less cleaning product, and so you end up just using more of it to get stuff really clean - and as a result they become just as damaging as the normal stuff. Soap to Nuts actually cleans just as well as full strength detergent based products. Don't be put off by the colour of the liquid (brown) - it really cleans well.
