I did a lot of research and reading through reviews to try and find the best set and I'm really pleased I chose these.My previous set were looking dull, beginning to go rusty in small patches. The only negative I could find with these is that they seemed larger than my previous set but having received them, I'm happy about the extra sizing :) They still fitted in my cutlery holder and they feel sturdy with good thickness.Mostly I'm impressed with the shininess! They've got a lovely silver shine which makes it look like I spend time polishing them up (I don't - who has time for that?). I held off writing a review until they had been through the dishwasher a number of times and now after owning them for a month they have been in there plenty. Mine isn't the best dishwasher and constantly leaves water marks on things but these come out looking shiny and new every time. Great value for money, I'd definitely recommend and buy another set.

These wear really well, a year or so later they still look good, no tarnish and shiny still

Great cutlery for the price.Love the knife and fork and teaspoon. Dessert/soup spoon is quite large. Not used as yet but looks on the "bit too big side"!Great set.

Perfect size, weight and quality . Great value

Excellent quality. Have lasted well through the dishwashwasher over a few months and still look great. Be aware that they are huge, so if your mouth is a dainty size the spoons especially seem ridiculous. But still very pleased with them.

Nice except I feel like the sizing is quite large. The tablespoon feels more like a pot spoon. Could just be me. Would have returned it had it not been a moving in present.

I spent a bit of time looking for cutlery that wasn't made cheaply in China, not because I have anything against China, but I'm done with cheap metals that discolour or have a weird tang on them when use them, and I was sick of forks with sprongs that were either sharper than a rapier or get bent out of shape in the cutlery drainer, or both.I looked at first for British Stainless Steel, but as all Amazon users know, the more you search 'British Stainless Steel Cutlery' the less of it will be in the results, in fact on that search I got french, chinese and german steel. Sorry, British steel cutlery producers, the Amazon search feature does not support you. But actually, the reason I went for Otto Koning was a mixture of frustration at having looked for over an hour and not finding what I requested in my search, and price. I wasn't happy to pay a top price for a product made by a producer I didn't know.That said, I got a lot for the price I did pay because they are excellent quality, nicely weighted, highly polished and sturdy. It was easy to find extra teaspoons in the same deisgn from this manufacturer too. So, 8 of everything in this set for £17.99 is a steal, and a further set of matching teaspoons for £4.99 for under £25.Is there a negative? If you can call it that, the tablespoons are very big, a bit like serving spoons, they'll hold a lot of cornflakes.

Bought as a gift, pleasantly surprised with the quality and cost.
