I was really impressed with this. I had a problem when windy with soot coming down the chimney flue and on the laminate floor. This stops all the soot, stops draughts and keeps the room more insulated and warmer when using the central heating. Simple but effective

does what it is expected to do, improve isolation although by no means it is going to stop all air movement or sound. I had to attach some weight on it as the wind would cause to quite audibly move up and down the chimney (30-50 cms at a time!) Reduced to 3 stars as the handle dropped after a while and I had to screw it back. Wish it would lock in place instead.

I'm thrilled with my order. Winter is coming, and storms are coming. I live by the sea in a 130-year-old house. I was looking for something that would help limit cold air during the winter season. This is fantastic. The change is huge as soon as I put it in its intended location. The sound from the chimney is significantly reduced. Finally, I'm no longer disturbed by the sound of seagulls sitting on the roof next to the chimney, nor by the sound of the wind. A great purchase.

So easy to use just screw the handle\stick in, I also ordered the extender stick so the tag is clearly visible in the chimney to avoid anyone turning on the fire while still in place, easy to insert just push into the chimney gap and it’s done, you do need to check what size as the chimney sheep needs to be slightly bigger so it wedges in place. It’s working a treat no drafts and also stops the heat escaping. I have turned the heating down 1.5 degrees and even during the recent extreme cold weather I haven’t needed to turn the heating back up bonus. This will definitely pay for itself in no time and then some. Very very pleased only wish I’d bought it sooner.

I am using this in the basement where a wood stove used to be. The smoky smell from the upstairs fireplace was drifting through this opening and was terribly strong, but this little "sheep" completely put a stop to the smell. It is slightly larger than the pipe it is inserted in, but still works perfectly and just makes for a tighter seal. I am very satisfied with this product.
