Flymo FLY050 Handle Fixing Kit - 511956390

My mower isn't a flymo, but it uses this kind of fitting. Seeing that these were around a tenner I did the obvious and went and bought cheap universal mower handle fittings for half the price.....only to find that the bolts were too big and didn't fit in the holes.I knew this kit was the right one, I was just being tight! Lesson learned.Quick to fit, simple little replacement and it's left my mower feeling like new again.Good product, good brand, good result!

I've got an old(ish) now flymo and I have to fold the handle up every time I put it away in the shed, therefore after a good few years the threads were starting to strip on the bolts. Given I wanted to try and keep it going for a bit longer, this was the ideal solution.They are quick and easy to replace - no DIY skills needed for this one. Just unscrew the old ones and replace with these. Hopefully another 5 years left in this mower now before replacement.

These nuts bolts and handle fix parts were exactly what were required to fix missing parts. Easy to fit and now mower like new.

The fact that Flymo produce this kit shows what a poor design the handle fixing bolts are. The kit does the job but if it was properly designed in the first place it would not be needed. The new bolts will probably last about as long as the old ones did or less as the faulty ones have worn away part of the handle.
