ARKON Mounts TAB805 Heavy Duty Tablet Drill Base Mount for Wall or Counter for iPad Pro iPad Air iPad

I put one of these in my motorhome over the foot of the bed for my tablet and it works great. Easy to mount and use. Could also be used for a very small (ie: 7-10") TV. It's pricey but worth it. So many mounts are made so cheap you bite your lip every time you put your device into it, worried it's going to break. You won't have that worry with this Arkon mount.

I used it to mount my iPad Air 4 in my 2014 Freightliner cascadia. It works, but it’s not sturdy. It will break off at some point, but it’s good for now. I’m probably going to modify it when it gets too loose.

I can't definitely speak on the durability yet, as I just received the item today. I will say that it mounts securely and literally made my day. I was in the makes for a mount for my laptop/tablet to mount inside my Denali for data logging and on the go tuning and it worked out perfectly. Mounted perfect and the way it's made I can easily slap my keyboard on and start number crunching with ease. Very pleased with this purchase!

From the photos, I was very skeptical that this mount would hold the iPad without a lot of slack and movement, but it's pretty solid. The little clips on the side looked ridiculous and I had low expectations that they A. would actually hold the device and B. look okay doing so, but they are less prominent once the iPad is mounted in the holder. I now have a nice navigation map near my field of view in the car -- this device has met my needs.

I had been searching the web for days trying to find a reasonably priced sturdy holder for my iPad with little success. Then I came across this gem. It is great, small enough so it's not in the way and super sturdy. It articulates in all planes so that I can view my device at multiple angles and does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's also aluminum which is great because I installed mine on my outdoor BBQ table! Worth every penny- 5 stars for sure

This is very stable if its use for what its intended..instead of a flat surface , i mount it in my car somewhere near the dash with it hanging at a angle...I noticed when I hit a bump my tablet that was mounted would drop a little bit but that is fix by putting a rubber fabric between the pivot ball...now I can control my tablet safely while distractedly watching movies and play angry birds ...whoo hooo

It works like it should, mounts easily, and is pretty decently built for the money. I'm quite pleased and would buy again.
