Worked as I needed it to do
I ordered this product to get around a unreliable ethernet port on my gaming laptop. The ethernet port that is built in has become loose and occasionally will drop my internet connection. I was originally just going to order a usb-c to ethernet dongle but after some browsing I decided that since this specific unit also added 3 usb 3.0 ports that it would be worth the few extra dollars to get some added ports too. After running an extensive amount of speed tests and just watching some twitch streams I can confirm that it is very stable and works as described and gives me my full internet speed, which is 500 mbps up and down (fiber) which makes me very happy. This unit saved me some serious cash for not having to take my laptop to a computer store for repair and also freed up all the built in (3 total) usb ports on my laptop so I can now add more things if I need to.It feels very well built and constructed, with the only plastic that is used being from the device to the usb c connector but even then the plastic feels very thick and durable. It came very well packaged and protected. For those wondering, I did not have to have it powered for it to work with the ethernet cable and the 3 usb devices (light up and wired mouse, light up mechanical keyboard, and small usb fan). The only issue I have had so far is when I went to plug in the HDMI cable from my monitor it did not work so I suspect that for that, it might need to be powered with the built in power port on this dongle. I have not tested the SD card slots as I don't have anything that uses those, so I can not comment on that aspect, but I would suspect that it would work just fine.Overall, It worked right out of the box and all I had to do was plug everything in which I appreciate. It worked for my main need which was to provide my laptop with an ethernet connection, since my built in ethernet port was unreliable. I would highly recommend this for using or adding an ethernet connection as it is a much better connection type than WiFi. As well as if you are in need of additional USB 3.0 ports.I hope this review helped you and have a blessed day <3

Works great to backup SD cards while traveling!
Every night after a full day of taking photos, used this adapter, an iPad Pro, and a solid state hard drive to back up my photos. Life saver!

It's got every port I need.
Not much to say other than I bought 3 of these. One for me and two to give away to a couple of my amazing audio students who just purchased a new computer. Ports are greatly lacking on all new MacBooks (well, they have been since 2016, to be honest), but this one hub fixes all that. Get one now. You'll be glad you did. It's especially important for us creatives who have a host of peripheral items.

Works flawlessly with Chromecast with Google TV
This works perfectly with Chromecast with Google TV. I bought it to to expand the storage space of my Chromecast with Google TV. Unlike the Anker hub that many YouTubers are recommending, the SD Card/TF reader actually works with the Chromecast on this hub. One important thing to note, however is that the Chromecast will only recognize any SD card or thumb drive if it is formatted in FAT32. If you buy an SD card or thumb drive over 32 Gig, it will come formatted with the exFAT file system, which Chromecast with Google TV does not currently recognize. Windows will only allow you to format an SD card or thumb drive over 32Gig in exFat, so if you're using Windows you need to download a utility that will format volumes larger than 32G in FAT32. (I formatted my 64G SD card in FAT32 using gparted in Linux. The Chromecast then recognized the card so I could re-format it for use as system storage.). Check YouTube for how to enable developer mode and setup the additional storage. The Ethernet is detected immediately by the Chromecast with Google TV, and works perfectly. I find a wired ethernet connection seems to make the Chromecast slightly faster and more responsive.I am using a larger power adapter than the original adapter that came with the Chromecast. Other reviewers have said that you might be able to get away with the original power adapter with this hub, but I guess you need to try and see.I plugged this into my Android phone and it seems to work with it. I was able to access files from an SD card and thumb drives. (Didn't try the Ethernet port or HDMI).Bottom line:. As far as I can tell, this works perfectly with Chromecast with Google TV. It's cheaper than an Anker hub, and unlike the Anker, the SD card reader works. Recommended.
