Super smooth gear action. Really feels like a well made part

.... I bought this gear for my cinema system, in order to have better focus control on the manual cine lenses ... It works superb and smooth .... recommended to all film makers on the budget ...

I got this to use with geared cinema lenses on a bmpcc 6k. The unit is all metal apart from the geared wheel which seems to be ABS. Maching is very good throughout, It atteched very securely to 15mm rails (a small rail and cage attachment is provided, but I had my own rails). The focus pull action is very smooth.I would like the addition of some gear wheels of larger diameter. The focus throw from close to infinity is quite large on some of my lenses — a larger geared wheel would allow this to be achieved more easily.If there were a larger gear included this would be a 5 star purchase.

The media could not be loaded. It took just a few minutes to attach this NEEWER Mini Follow Focus to my camera rig and have it adjusted ready to use. Included with the unit are an additional bracket and a short 15mm rod to facilitate its attachment directly onto a camera cage, the bracket does not need to be used if attaching to a 15mm rod system. The build quality is very good at this price point and the fit and finish are flawless.Using this Follow Focus I immediately found it a big advantage over having to try and access the focus ring of my lens by threading my hand in between other peripheral items. It rotates smoothly and it is straightforward to set up the A/B focus points to the desired range of travel for my lenses. It does not add too much weight to a camera rig and the adjustable gear ring which attaches to a lens does not need to be too tight to be able to function correctly.I have used it for shooting video and taking still macro shots and found it provides very good control over the focusing ring of whichever lens I use. It does fit all of my lenses with no issues and can also be used to operate the zoom ring of applicable lenses as required.Overall a well made mini Follow Focus which performs the task for which it was designed very well and only takes a few minutes to attach before use. Recommended.

The media could not be loaded. Big fan of Neewer products and this does not disappoint . High grade components but still very portable this works well for setting your manual focus points to pull focus . Has worked well with the lenses I have tried and is way less cumbersome than some products I have used in the past. If you already use a cage for your camera when videoing for sub £100 this is a great addition to your set up. Very good.

Excellent quality mini follow focus from Neewer made with very good materials.Extremely easy to setup only took me a few minutes the first time to install my only minor grumble is you have to attach it to the rod, cage etc it would have been nice if it could have been engineered somehow so it could be connected directly to the lens but this is not a game changer for me but something for future versions hopefully.I have been using this for a while now and I am wondering why I have not come across this sooner manual focus is so much easier now and I can be very precise even when using just one finger to adjust the focus. I am now using manual focus a lot more as I can focus a lot quickerOverall I am very happy with the NEEWER mini follow focus and I would definitely recommend it.

Loving the tool to assist with more precise focus, and the ability to add 2 focal stops.The built quality is pretty good with decent grip.Light Allu alloy body with plastic teeth and grips.Easy to fit with 2 socket screws to secure the rod clamp to the frame, the rest are just fighting knobs.Would be nice if this can be mounted to lenses without rod or arm ( ie clamp to lenses? )Reasonable at £76 with voucher, from a reliable brand.
