Q: Is this 1 x 1/2 metre length of hook and 1 x 1/2 metre length of loop or 1 x 1 metre length of both hook and loop?

I purchased this quite a while ago but a am 99.9% sure it is 1x1 Metre length. i have used it with great effect on my horse rugs to replace old worn out velco. I did however also sew round the edges when using it on the horses neck covers (which i need to put on and take off daily) even though the stickyness was very strong. Hope this helps. Janet

Theoretically yes, but practically it would involve using one part of the self adhesive tape being stuck to the cushion and the other part to the sofa. Depending on the fabric it may not adhere well enough to give the result you would expect and it would be difficult to remove the tape without marking the sofa and cushion

Q: Would this repair a tear in a fabric bean bag

This is top quality Velcro but not sure if the adhesive is strong enough for your project. If it was stitched in place, then it would defiantly work.
