So good to be back to manual focus
Finally I got back to where I was 20 years ago with a 35mm camera and a decent prime (Nikon F3 -> Sony A7). It's all you need. The Sony A7 is the first digital I've had that's easy to manual focus and it's so much better for landscape photography. This lens takes lovely images at f2 with nice bokeh and a good effect from the field curvature and superb warm colours. Down at f8 it's sharp across the range with no field curvature and no barrel/pin distortion so good for architecture. It's a lens for life.

Lightweight and sharp.
As you’d expect from Zeiss the lens is well made. It’s manual focus only so ideal for landscape photography. Image quality is fantastic giving you a nice Bokeh when at f2.Only negative for me is trying to attach the lens to my Sony a7riii body because of the aperture ring that moves as you try to tighten and lock the lens in place. Is it worth the money will be what most people will ask? Well honestly no but it’s a Zeiss lens and the image quality is superb. 52mm filter thread. Not too big very light.

I Love this lens
I used it for the first time and everything I’ve heard and read about this lens being one of the best is true. It takes some time to get use to the manual focus but I don’t mind it.

I like to be in control!
This lens right here, I must say took a lot of great pictures. I love the manual focus and smooth to adjust. For $599 instead of $1349 is a steal! The Zeiss Loxia 35mm is going with me everywhere I travel or take street photos. If you haven't watched Jason Vong and Professor Hines " Ultimate Street Photography," they shoot with the Loxia and Batis lens throughout Manhattan. I love this lens and I want the 85mm next. I might a get Batis as well.

The Zeiss Loxia lenses are one of the top reasons to own a Sony full frame camera.
These lenses made by Zeiss for the Sony seem to be “sleepers”. When I mention using these lenses most people don’t know they exist. I have the 21, 35, 50 and now the 85. They are very well built, compact and produce Zeiss glass results.
