MicheUnisex's Performance Brake Set

Bought these for my 35 year old Raleigh race bike.Easy to fit and adjust.Arrives in excellent packaging. They look like they would cost at least twice the price for Shimano calipers but work as well.Solidly constructed. These should last for the life of the bike. Fitted easy on mine, which had the original 35 year old calipers still on and already had holes suitable for the fittings.Extremely pleased and an excellent decision to buy.20k ridden on them so far. I opted to fit my newly purchased Clarke's brake shoes instead. Really pleased with the ease of stopping now.

Ideal Shimano replacement Slightly heavier but not so much you can notice. Easy to fit and give very confident braking.

I bought a set of these a while back to upgrade some crappy brakes on an other wise good 2nd hand bike purchase. Just bought another set now to upgrade the brakes on my son's basic road bike. It's surprising the difference between average and good side pull brakes. Not sure if it's superior geometry or just rigidity but the braking power inmprovement is striking.

Bolts too short

Works fine if you manage to get it fitted but. The bolts were not long enough to go all the way through my bike frame ( RALEIGH EQUIPE RETRO VINTAGE RACING BICYCLE). The design required the nut to be recessed into the bike frame (not initially possible) or bolt needed to be long enough to go right through the bike frame. As the bolt was too short for both front and the back calliper bolt length, I had to file the hole out until it was big enough for the nut to fit. I cannot use the rear callipers because the bolt on that is way too short and there isn't much metal on the back mount for me to file down, unfortunately. I did not see anywhere in the description the length of the mounting bolts and assumed it would have fit not very happy with this purchase at all sorry. quality-wise it is fine so far my main problem is with the lengths of the bolts.

Il prodotto, per chi già conosce la marca, è perfettamente rispondente alle caratteristiche indicate: realizzato con materiali di qualità ed attenzione alle rifiniture, si tratta di un paio di freni adatti a telai moderni per bici da corsa, ma anche a citybike compatibili. Ovviamente prima di proicedere all'acquisto bisogna verificare le misure della bicicletta su cui va installato, in quanto non si tratta di una soluzione universale. Io personalmente, con una piccola modifica alla forcella, l'ho installato su un telaio vintage. Si tratta di un prodotto di media gamma adattabile alla maggioranza dei telai, con la peculiarità di essere "longh reach", per cui ha i braccetti particolarmente lunghi, caratteristica da me ricercata in quanto sulla mia bicicletta vi è una notevole distanza tra il perno di fissaggio e la pista frenante della ruota. Rispetto ai vecchi freni che erano installati in precedenza ho incrementato notevolmente la capacità frenante, aumentando di conseguenza sia il confort di guida che la sicurezza. Mi ritengo molto soddisfatto, anche visto il prezzo pagato assolutamente conforme alla qualità del prodotto.

Die Bremsen gefallen mir sehr gut. Das einzige ist, dass die Schraube für die Hinterbremse nur 4 cm lang ist und dadurch zu kurz für mein Fahrrad. Und eine andere Schraube zu finden, welche so ein dünner Kopf hat (2mm) scheint nicht so einfach zu sein!

Ottimo prodotto. L'installazione non ha presentato problemi tranne per il freno anteriore che ha richiesto l'allargamento del foro sul telaio.

Per il prezzo a cui vengono proposti sono freni eccezionali. Non li ho provati a 70 Km/h in discesa, ma sono precisi, frenano molto bene, nessun rumore, nessuna flessione: li comprerei ancora ad occhi chiusi.Eccezionale rapporto qualità / prezzo

Purtroppo i forcellini per i pattini sono un po' corti, probabilmente la mia bicicletta è troppo vecchia. Bisogna fare attenzione
