in order to use them, you need to fold them in half. Since you lose the portion of the hair that goes into the head, there is really not much length left visible on the doll. This makes styling very difficult (it is easier to style hair that is too long, and then cut it to size, than work with hair that is very short). Also, for female dolls, it is much too short for most styles.Finally, this type of hair is quite rigid and pin straight, so it will not go down flowing by itself. You really have to heat style it into place. Otherwise, the doll looks like a pin cushion or a porcupine!In conclusion, that hair is cut too short to use

I needed black hair. But its ok.
