Love the multi angle stand! Brilliant idea executed well
First impression-Really like the metal base - thin but heavy and steady.-Aluminum-alloy stand - amazing build quality. Love the metallic feeling which makes the camera feel premium.Webcam-The stand gives the webcam a good height for meetings while I’m seated at my desk.-The 4K video quality is great, and the webcam adjusts focus and brightness automatically.-Low-light performance is goodTop down camera - best part about this device-Very easy to use thanks to the multi-angle stand. I use it as a webcam for online calls, and I can tilt it down whenever to show any documents or objects on my desk. Brilliant tool for working from home.-Camera covers more than enough for a normal letter size paper. I found that it’s also possible to capture larger ledger/tabloid papers when you straighten the stand.Mode switch-The mode switch on the side lets you change between “webcam mode” and “doc cam mode”.-In document mode, the image flips 180 so that it’s not capturing your documents upside down, and it adjusts focus ONLY when you press on the blue focus button. This prevents the camera from refocusing every time your hands move under the camera.-I’m amazed that they even considered this little detail when designing this camera.Ring light-Especially useful when using the camera as a top down camera, as it makes documents show very clearly on camera.-The dimmer knob lets you adjust the brightness steplessly and gives off a nice retro feel (kind of like an old-school lamp).Close ups-The multi-angle stand of the webcam makes it very useful for taking close up shots. It still focuses sharply when it’s at about 2 inches high from the object.-The ring light works perfectly for close shots.Quick release-The webcam also comes with a monitor clip so that you can release the camera from the stand and use it standalone with the clip.-This is useful for using the webcam on the go without having to carry the entire stand.Overall-Pros: Great 4K quality, impressive as top-down camera. The stand is well-built and high quality. Overall feels like a premium product.-Cons: No buttons on the camera for zooming, you’ll need to download their app for that, which is not so convenient.

Great top down camera
This works great for me as a top down camera. Small footprint. I wouldn't use it as a primary webcam however due to the amount of lag. To be fair, this is a problem that all these newer 4k Sony chip webcams have, and is not unique to this one.It would be great if there was a way to use it with a video capture card. Or better yet built one in, to give smoother FPS.

It didn't live up to the product description as well as I thought it would.
I have been using I have been using the Okiocam S for several years and I have loved it. So I thought that I would upgrade to a lighted version with more bulk and a big viewing window....About the X1:Pros: Solid, weighty, and stable. Quality construction.Cons: 1) Focus is in not clear. Actual focal point is about 1" nearer to the camera than that calculated by the camera. 2) Can only view A4 in landscape, 3) no manual zoom in/out button, and 4) the tracking wand is not was good as I thought it would be. The camera does not zero in on the target. The camera tracking is unpredictable. All in all, if seems like the product description oversold the product. If I would return this product, I would.I wish that the Okiocam T came with a light.

I needed a document camera, as our district doesn't provide them for us teachers...
I needed the camera to be able to zoom (even if it was by me manually moving the camera towards the subject) and have a good light. Therefore, a ring light was on my list of wants. So, this was my pick, and it's a pretty good one. It projects a dark image at times, and sometimes the light creates a glare on the subject, so I can't always go with the light. But, it's much better than the one which was breaking down and left in my room when I started at the school. I can't say it's as good as my Ladibug or Elmo from my prior district, but I'm not going to spend $500 either!

Great for Work!
So, I purchases with the intentions of using it minimally for work and freelance related tasks. The first time I used it was actually for a workplace happy hour where I showed the team how to fold towels in the fancy "hotel" way. And honestly, it was a great setup. Everyone on the team thought it was great and was able to clearly see what I was doing because I was able to angle the camera down. The setup was also very easy. It does come with really detailed and extensive instructions but I ended up just plugging it up and winging it, which also worked very well.We use Zoom at my job and it immediately connected to my laptop and my zoom, making it really easy to share my screen. The camera quality was pretty good. I feel like it was maybe a little grainy but nothing terrible. Definitely served the purposes I need it for. Plus, the light on the camera is an added bonus.
