Good item, I use these as a reference for pattern making in Clo3D.

This book came recommended by a student peer in advanced pattern cutting. It contains detailed construction methods for the Tailored Jacket and Coat which I found easy to follow. I bought this book as an additional resource to help me look at many aspects of constructing patterns for The Tailored Jacket course I am embarked on. I like how there a many variations on collar types to work with. The textbook also looks at the pattern construction for many waistcoats and other casual jackets and coats. It was delivered in pristine condition for a paperback, and with a brand new look about it. I thoroughly recommend this book for tailoring students who have a good grasp of pattern cutting skills and have at least prior experience at making a waistcoat and drafting patterns from a guided study course as this will enable them to understand the construction techniques and terminology they’re reading to independently make master patterns and pattern pieces. A useful study resource and very pleased with my purchase.

As per my previous reviews from this set of papermaking books, this is not for the novice patterndrafter. If you do not know how to draft patterns you won't learn here. I really like the creative exercises and more importantly I think they can be executed with the info from this book.:) The men's section in my opinion was done well.The draftings remind me a lot of Marfy patterns. Really clean and sophisticated. I think if you spent a year going through this book anyone would be an amazing jacket and coat drafter. I wish overall that more attention was given to buttons, button spacing,as well as pockets and tabs.overall though a really good book for someone who already can draft patterns but may need ideas/would like to delve deeper into coats/jacket patternmaking. Is it worth it? Yes

The book came very fast and in good condition. I haven't yet got the chance to try the pattern out.
