Brilliant concert George at his prime

Finally got this one , George is sadly missed and this is brilliant

I love George Michael's artistic work, but I have never been such an avid fan as to want to see him live or purchase his albums. In fact I only have individual singles of his on I-Tunes so far. However, that is now likely to change and this blu-ray disc might just be the catalyst. What a wonderful way to spend a few hours! That magical voice with lyrics and emotion making you really feel you are there. The stunning visuals (LED Backdrop, laser lighting etc.), backing singers and superb audience participation only add to what must be one of the best live concert recordings of recent times. I am really envious of those who were actually present, but this is definitely the next best thing! Video quality is very good without necessarily being reference quality. Venues like these make such recordings difficult in any case, with ever changing lighting conditions etc. In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the disc either on a visual or audio technical level - both are excellent. The disc includes some bonus tracks, though these in reality simply appear to be some tracks omitted from the main programme. The tour documentary "I'd know him a mile off!" is based on a highly amusing incident in London, which will become clear to the viewer even before the concert starts. Without giving away anything, there is a certain person in the UK with whom George really is able to take the proverbial "Michael"! Great stuff.I do not need to reccommend this disc to fans, as they will lap it all up anyway and they know better than I do what to expect from a superb singer/songwriter and supreme entertainer. To those who are lukewarm in respect of George Michael, this might just ignite your passion for a rare talent among so many mediocre, manufactured artists. I have just read that George was born in the same month and year as myself (and erm ... yes, I'm gay as well!), so I hope that he does another tour before either of us get too old for such activity. Next time I really do want to be there!! This will be my consolation prize in the meantime ...

Nothing to dislike, George from his 25 live tour, replacement for an older copy bought years ago. Great sound and colour, recorded live at Earls Court, fantastic concert, full of energy and of course those amazing vocals and moves of the irreplaceable George Micheal.

Great video and audio quality blu ray. George Michael and his band deliver a very polished show, which showcase his career.

Come sempre per artisti di questo calibro non esito ad acquistare un blu ray e questo acquisto non ha deluso le mie aspettative. Live in London è la registrazione dal vivo degli ultimi due concerti di George Michael all'Earls Court di Londra il 24 e 25 agosto 2008 come parte del suo 25 Live Tour.George Michael in splendida forma, voce che lascia senza fiato, le sue canzoni non hanno bisogno di alcuna coreografia basta lui!Il Video Wall gigante (schermo a LED) è spettacolare: è la sua scenografia. LED alttissimo, formato da due pezzi che fanno sì che sia presente anche nel pavimento e trasmette video delle sue canzoni e altro. Di fronte a lui, in basso alla fine del palco, ci sono due piani trasparenti che trasmettono i testi delle sue canzoni mentre canta, una bella idea come "gobbo. E’ una scenografia minimale ma fatta con stile, il protagonista è lui e la sua voce.Qualità audio e video eccellente. Un librettino di 8 facciate con foto del concerto e con titoli delle canzoni, nomi dei musicisti che suonano nel concerto, collaborazioni e nomi delle persone che hanno creato questo concerto in blu ray.I contenuti speciali contengono:- BONUS TRACK: Tre canzoni del concerto non presente nella traccia principale: "Precious Box" "Jesus to a Child" "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"- I'D KNOW HIM A WILE OFF: Un documentario delle giornate di George Michael in giro per il mondo durante i suoi concerti. Per questo documentario avrei preferito che ci fossero stati i sottotitoli (come nella versione DVD) almeno in inglese, in quanto malgrado riesca a capire abbastanza l'inglese, ho fatto fatica a capire i vari discorsi nei fuori campo dei camerini e altri luoghi in cui la voce non era in primo piano. In qualsiasi caso vi consiglio di vederlo perché reputo importante capire cosa vuol dire gestire e vivere eventi come questi, un tour così è comunque stancante, bisogna stare bene ed essere fisicamente in forma per cantare e spostarsi da una parte all'altra per il mondo in poco tempo, indipendentemente dell'aereo privato stanze di albergo lussuose. In questo documento potete vedere anche il montaggio della scenografia e il backstage durante il concerto dove George viene aiutato ai cambi di abito, trucco e tante altre cose. Veramente bello.Ovviamente consigliato a tutti gli amanti dell'artista e del formato Blu Ray.Prezzo buono
