It's Almost PERFECT
This thing is amazing. It comes preloaded. I thought it was gonna take me a while to get some roms loaded up and stuff before getting to play around with it. There's only one thing I'd change with it and that's a longer battery life. The screen is beautiful, all the buttons feel amazing and sturdy... If you're wanting just a basic gameboy-looking emulator... this is IT buddy!! I can't wait to tink around with the OS and see what else we can do with it.

Great handheld - replace the OS, skip the screen protector
I got my RG35XX this week and am overall very happy with this. I'd be giving it a 4.5 if possible, as it isn't quite perfect, but the issues are very minor.I'd strongly suggest replacing the SD card with a new one running a different operating system. I used GarlicOS, but MinUI also looks very good. Either one performs much better than stock, and the original generic SD card will fail before long anyway. It's pretty easy to set up, there's a really good guide from RetroGameCorps. The screen looks great, the controls feel good (it's a little too easy to get diagonals, but this hasn't affected me much and you could always fix it with a little bit of electrical tape on the board if it really bothers you). I find it much more comfortable than I expected - I haven't had any cramps playing it with both hands, and if you have slightly large hands, it's just small enough to play RPGs or menu-focused games one-handed.The only real issue I've had is very odd. I was on the fence about using the included screen protector, but decided to put it on. Everything worked fine for a few days, then suddenly my screen looked like it was dying. The color was sapped, and everything was starting to look grey and blown out. I figured I just happened to get a bad screen or connector - I shut it off for a few hours, tried a different SD card, did some basic troubleshooting but the problem didn't go away. Long story short, the screen fixed itself a few seconds after I took the screen protector off. I don't think this affects every unit, and I don't mind using it without a protector, so this wasn't a big enough deal for me to knock a star off. But it seems like it might be pushing the panel a little too hard or something, at least on some units like mine.

A very good handheld for playing older system games
I wanted a handheld that looks more like a gameboy in general and also has the hardware and quality I wanted. It is priced well, has a good size to it and at the same time very pocketable. I could say the same for the miyoo mini but I regard that as a trophy and that's staying home. For the RG35XX, it feels durable enough for me to bring it everywhere. It includes a case, a screen protector and It comes with games, a lot of it. I promptly deleted them and copied over my curated list of games. I do not expect this to play the more modern retro systems. There is no joystick after all. There are plenty of older system games to make this handheld worthwhile. As usual, the software could be better and more intuitive. This is not my first handheld so I replaced it with custom firmware. I tried garlicOS but there was an issue where the select button would fire off repeatedly. No one seems to have the same issue as me. I do not believe the software the handheld came with did that. At the time of discovering this issue, I thought it was a hardware issue. I opened up the device to check and came to the conclusion that it wasn't a hardware issue. I tried another custom firmware, minUI and the issue was gone. I suspect garlicOS did not play well with my device. It wasn't a hardware issue so I give a thumbs up for the quality control of the hardware.

I have recaptured my childhood
So I have had this maybe 10 days and have logged 30 hours on Pokémon. To be fair I work from home and just pick a Pokémon to lvl up inbetween calls. It’s really awesome. I have even taken it on drives. Overall it’s awesome for Pokémon. But I really haven’t played much more then that. My girlfriend like to play crash bandicoot. I do plan to play Zelda . But for 75$ it’s basically the cost of a AAA game. Funny thing is I bought Harry Potter and starfield but I’m over here playing the same games I was playing 20 years ago 🤷🏻♂️ also though I think it’s the hand held option that I am really liking. My only negative is I feel like I have to charge it twice a day. But I don’t even remember how much I had to charge my game boy as a kid .

Incredibly fun, quite a lot of games and capable of many more
I love this little console - it's an instant nostalgia trip in a convenient package, and pretty capable overall. With hundreds of games preinstalled, it's quite accessible to newcomers. You don't have to get an SD card or do any configuration at all if you don't want to. However, it doesn't come with headlining games like Mario, for instance, so you will have to do at least a little bit of work if you want to buy and install more games. It also comes preloaded with two separate operating systems, which is nice to have the option, but can be a bit confusing. Unfortunately, a handful of games (mostly PS1 games) don't really work on the default / proprietary OS, forcing you to switch to the other and redo your favorites and settings. Not the end of the world, and it's nice to have the options, but these are the issues that come with emulation. It would be fantastic if it were capable of N64 games as well (technically a few people have made a couple N64 games work but I didn't find it worth the extra tinkering), but the processing power, while close, isn't quite there.

Not a.goos device in my opinion... Died within 2 days 😠😣
Very disappointed in this device bought it for my son's birthday and it broke pretty much straight away ... within 2 days! Returning this useless device is a nuisance. I Have to wait for a return label to come in the mail then bring it to UPS. Even with Wi-Fi couldn't download any emails or print the return label. Hopefully I will receive the return label in time so I can get a refund. So very disappointed never will I buy from this manufacturer again

Nostalgic Fun
I grew up in the era of the GameBoy Pocket and this is a great dose of nostalgia and quality. It works great, has a solid collection of games, decent battery life and it’s just as advertised. I have recommended to friends and family, great item. One note of caution is the battery doesn’t have a warning so when it runs out it turns off and won’t give you an opportunity to save!

Muy bueno!
Me encantó. Aunque no es igual de cómodo que un gameboy, se puede jugar bien. Trae muchísimos juegos, mas de los que alguien jugaría jaja. Lamentablemente no trae ningún Mario. Igual fue fácil bajarlos y ponerle una memoria externa (encontré un tutorial muy fácil en TikTok) La pantalla se ve muy bien, viene con un buen estuche y una mica protectora.
