Good stuff
When added to beans while cooking them drastically reduces the gas they produce, and adds a nice flavor :)

All Leaf - no stems
I am very satisfied with the quality. All green leaf indicating a gentle dehydration (not baked) and no stems. It is very aromatic in the bag and the flavor is earthy and mild. Wonderful! I'll be back to buy more of this brand.

Fresh
It is nice and fresh when I opened the packet. Worked well to spice my Pollo Verde and again when I made a Tamale Pie, yummy.

Prefer other Epazote products that allow you to pick out the stems
I realize some people appreciate that the stems are cut up small with the leaves (unlike other Epazote products), but for me it ruined the taste due to the texture. And there's no way to remove the harder stems. I have bought another Epazote product here with the leaves and stems so you could cook with both for flavor, but remove the harder long stems before eating. I will go back to that product instead of this one. I ended up giving it away to a friend.

Very few stems in it, and reasonably priced for the quality. Short weight, though.
The package IS short weight. The "2-ounce" package had only 1.65 oz epazote in it.But, it really is almost only leaves, not stems. Some people say epazote stems are edible in food. But I've found that even after cooking for half an hour in a pressure cooker, they're tough. So I pick out the bigger stems by hand, and then rub the rest through a sieve. That takes a long long time, if it's full of sticks! For this epazote, I weighed the stems and what didn't go through the sieve, and the total in the "2-ounce" package was only 2.31 grams = 0.08 oz.So, there was 1.57 oz of usable epazote in the package.Using this info one can compare the price and quality of different brands of epazote. The stated price per ounce for this epazote should be multiplied by 2.0/1.57 = 1.27, in order to compare with other brands. Many other brands are about 1/2 stems by weight.
