This seems like to cages stacked on each other. I would like it to be totally open. Can it be assembled without the bottom of the second floor?

Off course, our 2-layer ferret cage can choose to install only one layer

Does it cage come with two tray if I order the double one ?

No. Only one tray on the bottom level. The middle has a small door to separate the top and bottom but that's it.

does this need the wire floor to be put on?

Yes, you need to put it all together, the second floor can be assembled depending on your requirement.

Do you have to attach the top level if you decide you dont want to?

No. The top level can be removed.
