Worked out Great!
I installed it ahead of my knee surgery and it worked out great. Didn't want to install a full banister in this small space and I just needed something to grab onto as I stepped down. This turned out perfectly.

Excellent Grab Bar
If you need a grab bar, this one fits the bill. It is not the "elderly-looking" grab bar of the bathroom variety, so it can be placed in doorways or wherever you need a hand up. Mine is placed in the jamb of the back door to help when I come in with groceries. It was recommended by my physical therapist after I broke my shoulder at age 72. The therapist was impressed when he saw it as it is discreet but attractive and very, very sturdy. I've ordered two more for my sister who needs a hand up as well. Great item. Recommend.

Poor Value
I honestly thought this was a pair of grab bars but it is only one, my mistake. It is overpriced by about ten dollars compared to other sellers here selling the exact same item. My recommendation is for buyers to keep looking.

Very sturdy
My husband had a stroke, and needs support getting up the steps into the house and into the shower. These handles have been extremely useful for that. We have not had a problem with them, and they support very heavy stress.

Fairly sturdy, works well for elderly
So I have installed this in my elderly grandfathers bedroom. He uses it near his bathroom to help get up off the pot. He really likes it. It does flip up out of the way when not in use but My only concern is him forgetting to flip it up and hitting his side on it. These are very handy if you need some form of handheld. They can be attached with screws into something solid. I would advise being careful using any type of drywall anchor because pushing down on that might break the dry wall and possibly lead to a fall. So be mindful of where you install it. Overall it has worked well for my families needs and properly installed it is sturdy.

Handy little handle
I was looking for something to help me get over the threshold into my house. This is a fantastic little gadget, and it works like a charm. I just bought a second one for the other side of the doorjamb. A little pricey, but so worth it. I'm normally searching for something that probably doesn't exist, but was pleasantly surprised when I found this.

Great little thing
As grab bars and these things go, this is a great little thing, little costly if you ask me, but, worth the extra due to them not sticking out a mile when obviously not in use, as you can put them up, secondly, like I mentioned in another product review for something else, this doesnt have the "NHS" look about it, so, blends in.Really solid when fixed (I put 2 on my mams staircase, one at the top and one at the bottom newel posts for when she's hopping on-off the stair lift), comes with good quality fixings... I put 4 2mm pilot holes in each newel before screwing and the screws just went in (With just a bit of pressure) with no camming out of the screwhead when driving them home.Again, the only let down is, I do think they are priced slightly too high, but then, it is what it is, if it wasnt for the fact they are really a good idea, well built and no mucking about when fixing, you can let that slide.

Ideal for disabled person
I fitted several of these to help my disabled wife in the toilet and at the front door. It has given her improved confidence.

Excellent innovative idea
The supplied screws were too long at 6cm but would be super safe if usable, I used 4cm long sturdy screws, which would hold almost anything of a practical weight. I like them and they are all installed. Quite pricey, but a specialist area. I recommend them, I am 92,
