Took a few attempts to get the right technique with the CON-70, then brilliant!
Bought 3 Pilot CON-70 Fountain Pen Converters. I wanted their much larger ink capacity compared to other Pilot Converters & most other brands. Initially, after pressing & releasing the plunger at least a dozen times, I could barely get any ink at all into either my Pilot Kakuno or Pilot Lightive fountain pens. This happened with the first 2 CON-70s I used. But both couldn't possibly be duds. Not with a quality brand like Pilot. I swear by Pilot fountain pens. I have a few Pilot FPs & they've never let me down. So I had to be doing something wrong. This worked for me after some initial hiccups: Press the plunger fast with added force, but release only slowly. Once I found the right technique, the CON-70 filled up fully with 4 to 5 presses. The larger ink capacity & a bit of added weight from the CON-70 has also made the relatively lightweight Kakuno & Lightive fountain pens even more pleasurable to use. I've no hesitation recommending the Pilot CON-70, as I've done with their excellent fountain pens. However, maybe be prepared for a few hiccups with initial use.

Intended for specific Pilot models, not all
Relative to any of the other existing or now discontinued Pilot fillers for their range of fountain pens, this has a relatively large ink capacity of over 1.6ml; it may not sound much but most will allow less than 1ml! It has a deep contact area to ensure a tight fit but it will leak if ever removed from a pen while still containing ink; most alternatives will not. Filling requires 5 or 6 pumps but it is also more prone to retaining air bubbles within the volume of ink than a typical piston filler. The downside is that it will only fit the larger Pilot fountain pens of which the 74 is the most popular. For the remainder, it is both too long and too wide to fit. Essential to active, heavy users.

It does its job - really well
Perfect fit for my Pilot Custom 74. I bought this converter to hold ink for my fountain pen. This converter holds lots of ink and has a vacuum type filling mechanism. The result it holds lots of ink and means that I'm not constantly refilling, a problem that I've had with the CON-20. I wish more manufacturers make converters like this as being easy to fill and clean makes it far superior to many other converters in other pens that I've tried in the past.

Pilot 70 CON70 from Japan
Very useful converter but I'm giving it 4 star as it is somewhat difficult to promote a good flow to the nib without causing an excessive flow!

For My Kakuno
Fits in my Pilot Kakuno. It has great capacity and is easy to refill, would definitely recommend over using cartridges.

Good converter
Works as it should. Provides good enough ink capacity for a cc filler. Cleaning and operation is not the easiest but I like it.

Requires too much force
While fine for me, it doesn't work well at all for my wife, who's been using fountain pens since primary school. The first time, the required force caused the section to leap forward, and bent the nib. (Thankfully, we were able to get it writing smoothly again.) The second use required a bit of a clean-up. I suspect this will end up in my collection of pens soon, rather than hers.
