Incredibly good mic and super responsive even at low volume
Incredibly good mic. I'm using it to feed a Colorful X1 addressable LED strip controller and have also used it with Arduino's and Teensy's. It picks up low sound music and voice incredibly well, even though its now effectively hidden away and sealed in behind an enclosure. Stunning at the price, so much so that I've just bought another one :)

Another great Adafruit Product
As with all Adafruit products this sensor had a very nice finish, came neatly packet in an antistatic zip lock bag with headers pins (a few spare too). Connected and works absolutely fine, there is of course support through the Adafruit website that provides programming libraries and tutorials which are always good quality and worth a look!

Simple and very sensitive
The MAX9814 in this mic module is such a great chip that make it so sensitive and easy to use.

Excellent - it works very well.
Really easy to use. Have tried several arduino mic modules without success but this one actually works!

They work but...
These work fine, but are very noisy, even on the low gain setting. So if you using these for audio recording you may have problems.

Five Stars
Works great. I haven't tried using the Gain and AR pins yet, since I haven't had to.

Ottima qualità dei materiali, ottime caratteristiche elettriche. Assolutamente consigliato. La qualità Adafruit non si discute.

J'aurais préféré avec les broches soudées

I was blown away at how sensitive this thing was. I used it for a costume piece that picked up surrounding sounds (ie music), which I then disseminated into a light display. Even when no music was playing, however, this thing was able to pick up some of the faintest sounds; when I had it placed against my temple, I'm pretty sure it was picking up the sound of blood rushing through my veins with my heartbeat. This is nice when you don't want to be fiddling with a gain control, but the fact that it kind of 'normalizes' sounds around you has some consequences I hadn't considered. For one, I had programmed dimmer colors for quieter sounds; this made that whole exercise relatively pointless. Above all else, I didn't have a single issue with this thing--it worked like it was supposed to, without issue, the whole time I was developing with it. I'm pretty impressed.

NIce to have shop it from home

Works perfect when connected to an arduino. Bought three of these to run three different sets of lights for an art project for my daughter. They pick up sounds from even across the room with the highest gain.
